I have a model car in an auction, and accidentally listed the wrong scale, someone emailed me and luckily pointed it out.
Should I pull the listing, since it has less than 12 hours, or email the winning bidder and ask if they still want it?

We would text buyer and update them. They will let you know if they still want or not. Best regards

You cannot cancel an auction with less than 12 hours to go if there is a bid on it.
Update your description, so that you do not have more people bidding on it if there is an error in the listing.
Contact your present bidder.
When the auction ends, contact the winner, point out the error, and ask if they are still interested or you would be willing to cancel it.
If you have to cancel - make sure you do it buyer requested to avoid a defect.

Still posting within quotes. Following the well-intentioned tips I left you in the other thread will stop this from happening. Not bugging you, just trying to help you...

Incorrect. Seller-solicited cancellations are OOS defects per at least one Blue @emerald40
To clarify for the OP - You can cancel a bid and end a listing early with less than 12 hours left, but the listing will continue to run. At this point, I would cancel the bid and give the reason as wrong scale listed.

You can revised or end a listing UP TO the last 12 hours. So just go in and revise it to provide the correct info. If the item has already sold or has a bid, let the buyer know that you made a mistake and see if they still want it with the option to cancel.

Kinda surprised to see The General listed at all with the rooftop decoration.
Forget keeping up with the Joneses. Be the Finklegrubers!
OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

The highlighted.
After the auction ends, and the buyer did not see the update, you can give him an out to cancel.
How would that be out of stock.
As for the rest, I have done what you told me, and it does not always work.

I think you would have to inform all 4 bidders at this point with the correct scale, because anyone of them and more could win, or inform them that you are pulling the listing to relist the correct specs.
Or just let it sell and explain to the winner the mistake. Maybe it won't matter to them?
