The other day (10/27/2021), I noticed that there was an issue revising listings. I contacted my friend who is also an eBay seller and she told me she was having issues revising listings. I called eBay to let them know and they told me there was an issue revising listings. The next day 10/28 my friend noticed that she could revise her listings, and my husband could revise his listings. We were able to revise any of his listing using the very same laptop and web browser I use to revise listings and he was able to revise listings.
I was still experiencing the issue for my eBay listings. So I called eBay and the associate told me that she could see the revisions. Well, I couldn't see the revisions. She told me to ask my friend who sells on eBay to look at the listing. Later that evening, when everyone got home I asked my husband and friend to use their own devices to see if they could see the revisions. My husband (Apple IPhone) and the lady who worked at eBay could see the revisions. My friend who uses Windows 7 on an older laptop could NOT see the revision. I have a brand new laptop, which cost $500 using Microsoft Edge and I could NOT see the revisions and neither could my friend. So some people can see the revisions and others cannot! eBay needs to fix this asap. I suggest everyone get a number of people to look at any recent revisions to ask them what they're seeing. You can't have some people using certain devices see one description and another set of people using other devices view a different description. ebay can you please fix this asap? If buyers are seeing different descriptions for sellers' listings this needs to be FIXED IMMEDIATELY!

That type of thing has been an issue for a very long time. Many devices do not have the capability to show certain things and there is little ebay will do about it. They can not make everyone buy compatible devices and are highly unlikely to do what it would take to make their system compatible for every single device known out there. It is especially bad with cell phones. Buyers /friends have told me for years they could not see all the photos, certain sections of text, etc.

No, it was NOT like this before. I can't even see my own edits. The operator on eBay told me that they working to fix it and it's a known issue. When I was listing last week, this was not an issue. I have a BRAND NEW, top of the line COMPUTER, just purchased a few months ago. If I can't even see my own edits then there is an issue. I never had that issue before no matter what computer I used.

Think about it. I can see the most recent edits on my husband's eBay listings using the very same computer. If his listing features are working - using the very same computer - don't you think that my listing edits should be working the same way? I'm using the same computer, same device. I see all his most recent edits, no problem using this device. I cannot, however, see the most recent edits on my listings using the very same device. This was not like this earlier in the week. He does NOT have a store but I do. This certainly is due to another issue. The eBay associate told me that it's a known issue and they're working to fix the problem. I wanted to make everyone aware of this.

"working to fix it and it's a known issue" Standard CS response. Do not hold your breath.
I have had issues like this before. I also have a top of the line newer computer. It has made no difference.. Comes and goes all the time when I am editing/re listing. I gave up a long time ago talking to ebay about it.

But when you can make edits on one account with the very same computer and it works and then on another account the edits do not work, you know it's a technical issue with eBay. The computer is working fine. I'm paying for my store. I'm paying for editing features. When you're paying for editing features to work properly, they should give you what you pay for.

It's not you it is eBay.
All the mayor players Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Microsoft set the standards for the coding that web sites are supposed to use so things like this don't happen.
If the coding is good and following the standards then all devices and web browsers will work.

The key take away from all of this is that when you edit, it does get saved, but the Buyer won't see the edits in the Item Description section. Everything else gets updated like the Title, Item Specifics, Shipping Price, Etc. It is just the Item Description.
This is going to be quite problematic if this doesn't get fixed VERY soon. This has already been going on this week and it is still not fixed. So what is happening is that Buyers are seeing old content in the Item Description section that may not match what you have in the Title or Item Specifics.... etc. Very confusing for the Buyer and potential returns for Item Not As Described.

Nope - You are wrong. This is a unique issue this item around. If you look into your " View all revisions for this listing" it will reflect the edit, but if you confirm the edit and then look, it wont upload or refresh the edit to current. Has nothing to do with compatible devices. An edit is an edit, its 2021 going on 2022 and it can be done. Just not in the last 5 days via eBay , thats all.

Exactly ! - And ebay will FOREVER hold it against us with our seller profile ratings when we get complaints. Same ole story - different day in eBay world.
