Editing Existing Listings via eBay CSV File

I would like to update the SKUs and item names for many of my items. I have download the template from https://www.ebay.com/sh/reports/uploads ... that's fine. My question is this: I only want to edit a certain number of fields, let's say as an example, 100 of the 10,000 rows. Do I:

A) Reduce the CSV to only contain the rows I want to edit (delete the other 9,900)

B) Sort the CSV to only show the rows I want to edit

I am not sure of the uploading behavior, which is why I am asking this question. Of course, I do not want to only upload 100 rows and somehow delete the other 9,900 existing items. But I also don't want to burden the servers by uploading a 10,000 row CSV with changes in only 100 rows.

Can someone with experience in this please shed some light?

Re: Editing Existing Listings via eBay CSV File

Delete the rows you don’t need. If you just sort/filter it, when you export those hidden rows may be visible in the CSV because there’s no filter function inherent in the CSV format. I’ve done that before, although it’s been a while since I’ve, but you want to remove anything that isn’t essential and isn’t what you’re editing, basically.
