Ebay store reporting using excessive memory, soooo makes store work in slower than slow motion.

I get pop-up stating store using substantial memory, makes store operate in super slow motion, evidently storing "everything" even though I clear history after every use. I'm almost computer illiterate, evidently don't know how to clear everything I ever looked up, or message I sent- - -help.

This sounds like you have a problem with whatever device you are using to view your store on.  You may want to have your device reviewed for issues.

   Do you have a friend or family member that is computer savvy? If so describe the issue to them. It may have nothing to do with clearing your browsing history etc. It could be bad/corrupted memory in your computer or in my case a couple of times I had to uninstall Chrome and re-install it using the Edge browser already installed on my computer. Don't uninstall your browser if you only have one installed though.

It is not just you or your device.  I've been noticing marked sluggishness for a few weeks now. Pages loading, even typing speed.

Not everyone experiences these things as others will.  Typically it will depend on your device, how much you have open and running, pop ups, your security software, age of the device being used, etc. etc.

There is an endless different reasons why our devices may be slow.  Most have nothing to do with Ebay other than it is the easiest to blame them.

I would suggest clearing your cache and cookies.  All of them.  Shutting down your device.  Let it rest a moment and fire it back up.  See if you notice a difference.

If that doesn't work, try a different browser.  Sometimes it is as simple as that.

This is almost certainly a browser issue, which are you using? Have you tried to replicate with a different browser?

Is the performance issue just with eBay tabs or is it effecting all browsing?

@thetojoman

That means you probably have never run any computer utility programs on your PC.

The first thing I'd do is log out of all programs and run a cleanup utility (your operating system will have one built in -- there are also thousands available online a no cost).

Restart your computer, then try logging back in to eBay.
