Feel absolutely let down by ebay and these scalpers e bay completely know what's happening and continue to let this happen. I have been a member on ebay for around 11yrs.. I shall not purchase anything again and going g to close my account. Thought Ebay had better morals than this. SHAME ON EBAY!!!!!! How about looking after your customers instead of thinking how much money you can make especially I such a dire time in the world with covid and people losing there jobs

Yeah, but have you seen any disinfectant spray? I haven't seen Lysol spray or it's store brand equivalent in-store or online since March. (No, I am not counting the gougers selling a can of Lysol for $50) Other than that everything else is out there, at least here it is.

I haven't been looking-- I just make my own by diluting alcohol with some water. We don't seem to have any problems ordering it to keep on hand at my B&M job, though.

op is concerned with electronics, and cards.

If op is mad at Electronics and Card prices dont buy. Eventually everything goes down. If he is talking about the XBOX or Oculus give it a few months. Same for everything else. Or, make a game of it and try to find one.

My intent was to point out that, since eBay does not sell anything, eBay is not the one who sets prices.
Those are set by individual sellers.

Yes, our Publix has it in stock from time to time. Also Clorox spray and refill. But not the dilutable cleaner I am looking for...

So the finger never came back to explain what they were whinning about... Probably just mad because sellers can buy things for a buck or two and sell them for $25. They'd rather we sell them for $5.

Ebay should be held accountable for allowing this behavior. I mean, its one thing when you see this on the street, but its another thing entirely when its automated by a third party platform.
Wanna buy a PS5? Here's a box for 900$. That is so illegal on so many levels, but because its allowed by Ebay, buyers see it as legitimate.
And scalping is fine between friends, but when I go online, I just wanna buy my products from anywhere BUT Ebay with their scalperbots picking up all the stock as soon as it goes live.
Ebay will get their just desserts. Its just a matter of time.

What's automated by a third party platform? Did you buy a box for $900? What's an eBay scalperbot? How does it work? Is it a scalper or is it a bot? And why is scalping fine between friends? I'm so confused.

No, they aren't, because morons who are desperate to get the latest and greatest items to keep up with the masses will always be willing to sell a kidney or take out a payday loan to get that new item

Illegal how? Please specify. A PS5 is not a ventilator.
Its also worth pointing out that although this is a necro thread from last October the OP did of course not close his account but kept right on buying and leaving feedback for others as recently as this past month.
