Ebay's policy on feedback does not prevent a person from making libelous statements. It is time that Ebay took a more positive stance

Like most sellers I list almost exclusively as Fixed Price.
I can't see my customer's Feedback until she buys.
Only about 15% of listings are in the dying Auction format, and most of those have Buy It Now options.
When a customer uses the Buy It Now, the seller cannot see her FB until she buys.
When a customer snipes an auction, the seller does not have time to see her FB until she buys.
The only ones who can read FB are future customers of the seller.
And what happens if that customer sees angry rude (or even calm and factual) negatives being left for customer after customer?
A non-paying customer gets a Strike.
Most sellers now have an automatic Block against those deadbeats.
No need to check out the customer, it being done for you.

Or bad feedback for buyers would create a bad buyer experience which would cause buyers to not buy costing ebay revenue

I would suggest that you might wish to be a bit more selective in picking your sellers. The amount of negative feedback you have left might cause more than a few sellers to not want to do business with you.
WOW, took a peek. Interesting someone such as the OP could start a topic such as this.
I think the feedback they're referring to is a seller's reply to a neg they left as a buyer. The seller called them a deceitful liar for changing their story.
The OP has certainly had a lot of problematic transactions.

Good buyers leave too. I got my one and only negative as buyer or seller when I left a neg for a scamming seller. I got one right back that I did not deserve. This behavior was rampant back when seller could neg buyers.
There are plenty of bad sellers out there who would leave scathing negs for good buyers in a heartbeat. People need to stop assuming only good people would use an option. Bad people can use and abuse feedback too.

And bad buyers would leave. That was my point.

Non paying? Scam return? If this is true then see ya later. I dont want that buyer and thanks for the heads up.
But bad buyers would not leave. They would just take 30 seconds to get new Gmail address and create a new eBay account.

So a good buyer who is intentionally defrauded by a bad seller,
can accurately warn others????

In my opinion, a good buyer can warn others in feedback without bullying.
Name-calling is bullying and a direct attack used by inarticulate persons. Anywhere.
Negative feedback is all unsubstantiated hearsay, and can be abused by anyone and cannot be proven as fact.
