Ebay's Counterfeit Sports Cards

Over and over now, Ebay is removing Cards they say are counterfeit. Now I received a 3 day suspension over another Card they say violates their policy of counterfeit cards. I decided to find and report other cards actively being listed and sold that are identical to mine that were removed. Ebay replied the Cards were not in violation of counterfeit polices. So I called and talked to a foreigner and gave him both my card ID# and the I#  of the one I reported and it was found not in violation. They told me the only way I could Appeal is to have the Card certified, which would cost me hundreds, all the while let others continue to post and sell exact ones. I will start using other venues to sell on because Ebay is a ripoff and a Joke run by people in foreign countries.

You are not the first seller to have this issue. Unfortunately with millions of listings the posting review process is mostly run by bot's and they simply don't catch everything and often error on those that they do remove. I often wonder why half of the stuff coming out of China is still listed when it is pretty obvious that a lot of it is counterfeit. The following is a perfect example. Even though it states it is silver plated over steel core it is illegal to make/copy US coins unless they are properly labeled as such.

Last one was a Cracker Jack card and some others were Generation Next cards. I don't have problem with removing them, but do have issues Ebay telling me other peoples listings exactly the same are okay. I finally hung up on them when I couldn't appeal, but told I could spend untold amount of money to have them certified. Even Topps is made in China now. There is not much truly legit anymore.

My issue was proving to Ebay on the phone that other listings same as mine that I reported to test Ebay on there policy and they replied their cards were okay and mine is not. And that I would have to have mine certified. Its a Joke.

I have specifically asked Ebay if Generation Next Cards are allowed or are they not. They refuse to answer, as thousands of them are listed for sell, yet they continue to suspend while allowing other to sell them even when reporting them, they claim they don't violate policy. Ebay is a con & is in Bed with Panini Cards. Like others stated, Panini Cards being sold out of China, you know they are counterfeit, yet they allow them to be sold.
