Ebay pushing me a little too far

Yet again (i`m only here to complain about it) ebay is giving me a hard time with the same old **bleep**. I`ve been selling a few items on ebay over the past few months i guess maybe $1000 or thereabout. I just sold a $250 item last night and right after, ebay sends me an email "ACTION REQUIRED" .... "update your bank information" I`ve gotten this mail way too many times over the past year and i already updated my bank details and have received my payments as usual so where is the actual problem? How many times over do i have to perform this over again? This is starting to become a royal pain.

^^^ This is good. Reach out to the qualified  C/S Reps beginning with a message on the eBay facebook page. (Some sellers create throwaway fb accounts just for this purpose.) You will quickly receive an email from a Rep who can actually offer service. These Reps also have the ability and resources to address real seller issues. Trust me.

Set up the two-way (email) communication... the first Rep may be able to handle you, the first Rep may send you to a better suited Rep, you may want to escalate to another decision-maker. However it plays out, it'll be timely and straight-up online... and what better do you have to do than to work this problem out this afternoon? Good luck.

Have you had e-Bay call you and spoken with someone on the Payments team?

Why on earth would someone from ebay call me on the phone? I live in NORWAY and i strictly deal with ebay online, no telephone lines whatesoever. Why are U asking this? It`s almost as if this was a scam from ebay. A professional service includes a straightforward sale and a straightforward receipt of the payment, not this kind of unneeded attention.

When a majority of the sellers transitioned to ebay managed payments, this type of problem was definitely mentioned by some of the sellers. Talking to the ebay managed payment rep was typically the best method to resolve the issue.

Good luck!

We Canadians have had problems with Managed Payments because some of the phone reps have problems with concepts like "Canada is not part of the USA".

There have been reports that micro-payments often fail, possibly because of currency fluctuations.

Your bank must be a Norwegian bank and you must use a chequing account.

And all your names must match.
If your name is John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith, you cannot have a bank account as John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith, a Managed Payment account as J J  Jingleheimer Smith, and an eBay account as JJJ Smith.

In my own case, after using the same bank for a couple of months for two of my eBay IDs, one suddenly stopped, just like yours, and with the help of the Chat/social media eBay employees, I changed to a different account with a different bank.  One I did not want to have connected to eBay, but....

The other ID continued with the originally chosen bank and has presented no problems.

Export eBay says your selling is limited to 10 items with a $500 value in a month. Did eBay increase that for you? Did you ask eBay to increase your limit?

Ebay pushing me a little too far

My last payout from ebay occured on july 7th...in other words not very long ago. In the meantime up until now, what actually has changed? Well, i sold a couple few items several hundred dollars worth is what changed. MONEY MONEY MONEY. As i may have mentioned, the latest request from ebay to YET AGAIN kaschwimpifye my bank details arrived in my mailbox directly after i made a sale for a $250 item. I will ask again, what changed? The previous payout didn`t seem to mind going through although i did not have a satisfactory bank detail info uploaded to ebay...so yet again...what changed? NOTHING CHANGED IS WHAT CHANGED. I find a few caps in a lock can help demonstrate my point. What is my point? The fact that there is no point to these continuing requests from ebay. A certain word materializes in my head right now -SCAM- I "reached out" to ebay asking for help to fix this royal pain and sure enough, help i received. Actually, i expect these people to go in and fix the problem without any further ado but NO, "listen son here`s what you have to do...just follow these three little steps and you`ll be all set" ....or will i ??? Okay so i never sent ebay a bank statement but they were still able to send me the previous scheduled payouts in due time. So...what changed? (asking rethorically now) Is my bank even able to yield an image from my online bank account where all these requirements are presented "in one image" ? ...and "in stereo where available" ? Wow i am SO fed up with this nonsene by now, it`s late at night and i really should be consulting the sandman. In my honest opinion, this is asking a bit too much from individuals regarding privacy/safety.

I have checked your account details and I found that you have been receiving the banner for bank verification as your Bank Details could not be verified by the automated system and it shows an error of invalid data. Please do not worry; the process can be completed easily by uploading the bank statement in the banner received.

Kindly make sure that all the below details are provided in one single picture of bank statement. Please check the below criteria:

BANK DOCS VERIFICATION CRITERIA:

  • Your full name – This must match the name registered on your eBay account
  • Bank name and logo
  • Full digits of the Account Number / IBAN
  • The bank's address (if providing a statement/letter)
  • The document must be dated within the last 12-months

Bjørn, you can black out any transactions, monetary amounts or your account number except for the last four digits(IBAN) to protect your privacy – We just require the above criteria to be clearly displayed for bank verification.

Kindly upload the bank statement on the banner and wait for next 72 hours for the verification to be completed. Once verified, you will be notified accordingly.

Ebay pushing me a little too far

Another day, another payout. It would seem someone over at ebay had a change of heart (i guess something changed) The handsome sum of €102 was released into my custody today...and for those of you who wonder, no i did not send ebay any bank statement whatsoever. Now for the $250 sale/payout that is still being detained, ebay has found a way to question this delivery, but exactly what? As of today there is something peculiar appearing in the shipping / transit history i have not seen before. I will attach a picture of it for all to see. As usual, i upload the tracking number and mark the item as shipped the same day i ship out (july 14th) For whatever reason, from today there are some funny red letters saying "buyer paid - shipment overdue" I tried to hit the "mark as shipped" again but nothing happens. Isn`t that weird? I`d say it is. There is no overdue shipment, this is just a lie, nothing more nothing less. The shipment arrived with customs in Tokyo Japan today july 20th and should be with the buyer in a matter of days. Why is ebay doing this, calling out an "issue" when the shipment is transiting just fine? All these little things add up to a royal pain and i`m not really having any of this nonsense.  Tokyo.PNG?
