I registered but I didn't do the second needed registering as was reading and they were talking about being billed - fees or some stuff in the facts... i though ebay open was free, especially since it's online only? Just curious.
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

lol, that explains nothing . How about directing me to the part where it tells you how much you will be charged? lol
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

I wouldn't be surprised if the language from the older style eBay Open has never been changed. AFAIK, the online version was free last year (I didn't go since I was on a holiday).
Back and forth about going to this one - I'm trying to get out of this business but then I'm having trouble finding a 'retirement' job that doesn't pay Mechanical Turk rates. If I keep selling online eBay Open may have some value.

I've never been to one, though "" might be good to attend one for once - since ebay has changed so many things in the past year alone might have some "value" to listen in on some things.

It IS free. The wording in the User Agreement is the same used back when ebay Open was held at a Hotel and you needed to pay to attend....but got lots of free food etc...so, basically, it means IF there's a fee....but for this one, which is online only, it is FREE.

We don't have to do this, but it's helpful advice.

it was in the one of the terms of agreement - they asked that I read them twice when registering so figured I'd hit them. Likely as others have said they are the old terms and never changed them from when Ebay Open was held at hotel or whatever and you had to pay to attended/for a room etc... just wanted to make sure.
On side note, I completed the registration yesterday, when asked what was most excited about I selected "I just want the free swag" lol
And it only gets worse since that conclusion...

Based on this thread alone, after about 20 years on eBay I also have registered to attend this one. One good thing the pandemic did was force a lot of organizations into virtual programs.
I think many, many sellers would benefit from one specific program scheduled to be offered on the first day: Managed Payments. I intend to attend that one, and I'm what some would call a "cheerleader." I figure I can always learn more so, why not?

Well, yeah, hotel and dining is free. And, they don't charge for the chairs. However, if you want to hear them speak, well, that may be something else entirely.
