I had a joker bid on my time sensitive technology (voliatile price). Then he disappeared. So now I am kn the hook if I sell it to someone else and the price goes up or I keep it and the price goes down. Buyer isn't responding to emails and eBay is protecting him by refusing to give me his contact info (despite the old days where they gave it out readily). I said do I have to subpoena it? And the goofball from Asia said he is referring me to their legal department and the call was ended. So I am screwed by ebay just for trying to sell something via their horribly changed (for the worse) site.

WHAT are you all even talking about? I never said I was going to CALL him...!
eBay refuses to give me ANY info on him whatsoever, regardless.

It is not Ebay's problem if you are selling items that can change in price that rapidly. File a non paying bidder report on the buyer and wait it out. Either your buyer pays, or he doesn't. there is no reason to call the buyer at all.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you are talking about, but if your complaint is that a buyer is not paying for something they won you absolutely have options within ebay.
Open a UPI (unpaid item) dispute after 48 hours of non-payment, and close it in your favor 96 hours later.
Not only does this release you of your obligation to that buyer so you can relist it, but it also gives that buyer a "strike" so if they do this repeatedly they will find that they cannot buy anything from MANY sellers on ebay.
Best of luck to you.

What did you want eBay to do? Give you the contact info? You can request that yourself. But, even if you had that info, what would you accomplish by using it? The buyer isn't going to pay just because you have their phone number. I would venture to guess that you would get voicemail every time you call.
File your UID, relist and require immediate payment.

Yes, if your item is "time sensitive" you would be best served using a fixed price listing with immediate payment required.

With all due respect, you are not screwed by Ebay~it is not their fault that your item is highly volatile price wise. Calling the buyer would accomplish nothing.; it's not something that is usually done.
As previously suggested, it would be best to list it fixed price, immediate payment required.
But first you need to open the Unpaid Item Dispute at 48 hrs, then close it in 96, so that the item is clear to relist. Buyer gets a strike and you get your fees back.

That's the risk you take selling time sensitive items you have nobody to blame but yourself for dealing in such items.

Just like pre-awareness of shipping, fees and logistical factors before listing, sellers also need to have possible timeframes in mind if hiccups occur. UPI's happen, there is always the chance that the item could be tied up for the minimum six UPI process days and then however long it will be listed again for. You can't blame ebay for a buyer not paying. You do have some tools but with a "time-sensitive" item... well you did try and sell it here, not knowing the possible roadblocks. Good luck~

The sale was for the Nvidia GeoForce? It’s been just 24 hours since it was purchased so the buyer may still pay.
If you do end up relisting it, you should change the condition to used. New-other is not for used items even if they were just used for a short time.

What information is it that you need?
