I had Markdown Sales in August 2021. These sales are expired but Ebay is emailing buyers about these markdown sales right now.
Example: I had a clearance sale in August-- 88% off earrings. Ebay sent this offer to a buyer this week. The earrings were $6 so the offer was $1.
I honored the offer because what else can I do? And the I called Ebay to fix this so they said they did.
Then I found out Ebay is doing this with my other expired sales. They are sending emails offering 33% off selected items. So the buyers accepted the offer and now I have 30+ sales that were processed by Ebay with these markdowns.
I called Ebay and they sent a ticket to the tech team. That's it.
Does anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it?
Thank you so much!

Definitely puzzling since eBay doesn't send offers for items on Markdown Manager.... eBay only lists the lower price.
eBay doesn't send an email to a buyer with an offer at all unless the seller initiates it.
Did you ask your buyer how they got the offer? (Did they have the item on their watch list?)

Don't know if @wastingtime101 has had this problem, but knows how to fix it. Wait for it...

Nothing to fix. It is a confused seller who sold nothing for $1.

While eBay is full of technical glitches @jeansjewelry, I think that's unlikely to be the case here. If it was a bug we'd see the boards lit up with tons of irate sellers.
Whether you realized it at the time or not, I think you checked off a setting to send automatic offers.
You can find information on this page about how to disable that setting. I hope that solves your problem go-forward.
For the sales that already happened, you'll need to honor them. Cancelling orders for being out of stock or otherwise unable to fulfill the order is one of the worst defects and could cost you your account if you accrue more than 2.

I looked at your most recent sold items and so far I'm not seeing any major discounts. The $12 scarab ring sold for $9.13 - that's about 24% off. It doesn't match the 33% or 88% mentioned in your OP. You can view this link to see whether the offer was seller-initiated or buyer-initiated. If it was buyer-initiated then you had to either manually accept it, or your listing was set up to auto-accept offers at a certain price threshold.
The $12 sarcophagus earrings sold for $11.33 so again, that's not much of a discount.
Can you provide an item number for the $6 earrings that sold for $1? Or post a screenshot of the payment details?
The only $6 earrings I found in your recent sales history were hoops that sold on Dec 28 for $4.50.

(Did they have the item on their watch list?)
That would be a strong contender for the problem.

After stressing out all day, I am ending my listings that were part of the 33% off promo ... but I have 100+ watchers for some of these so they cannot find my listing if they decide to buy

If they found your items once, they will find them again.
Good luck.
