I had Markdown Sales in August 2021. These sales are expired but Ebay is emailing buyers about these markdown sales right now.
Example: I had a clearance sale in August-- 88% off earrings. Ebay sent this offer to a buyer this week. The earrings were $6 so the offer was $1.
I honored the offer because what else can I do? And the I called Ebay to fix this so they said they did.
Then I found out Ebay is doing this with my other expired sales. They are sending emails offering 33% off selected items. So the buyers accepted the offer and now I have 30+ sales that were processed by Ebay with these markdowns.
I called Ebay and they sent a ticket to the tech team. That's it.
Does anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it?
Thank you so much!

Thanks for posting the screenshots. There are a few odd things.
The first is that those $6 earrings did sell for $1, but according to Terapeak the sold price was $4.50 - something in the system isn't synching.
The second is that you said you originally ran this offer back in August, so even if you did accidentally check the "send offers automatically" box - why would the system wait until December to start sending the offers out?
Having seen all that I'm leaning more towards some kind of account-specific glitch - or one that's affecting a very small number of sellers. If there is a glitch, and if it had a wide impact, we would be seeing the boards light up like a Christmas tree.
You can use relist on those ended listings which should trigger the system to e-mail at least some of your watchers within the next week to alert them that the item's been relisted.
Let us know if it happens again.

Hell no. People around here are outspoken. If someone else had a suggestion you can bet they would have posted it, regardless of what anybody else had said.

This was bugging me so I looked at it again. Specifically, I reviewed the screenshot showing sales for the pendant. I saw those $7.70 sales going back weeks. So I went into the listing and can see that offers were consistently accepted starting the first week of October.
This timing fits in with when you said you ran promotions in August - take a couple weeks and get some new watchers then the system starts sending offers out automatically based on that setting.
I checked Terapeak again and they show an average sales price for multi-quantity listings which is why I wasn't matching up accurate selling prices there when I looked earlier - I wasn't paying attention to the fact that these were multi-quantity listings.
I was initially confused after seeing your screenshots and believing that these offers just started going out last week. But after realizing these offers date back a while and after looking at the screenshots again, it all fits into the theory proposed in my first post: that you sent out the initial offer a few months ago and checked the box to send automatic offers without realizing. Offers have been going out ever since.
Since you ended the listings before going to the link I posted about how to disable automatic offers, the only concrete thing to work with is the sales history and that fits in with the automatic offers setting being enabled.

When you create a Markdown Sale, there is an option to have Ebay send those emails.
They do that if somebody puts your sale item on their watchlist.

Thank you for your response -- I think it's not system wide, just my account
re: Pendant -- all those $7.70 offers happened in December - I had a 4 day sale 33% off in August.
Pendant is $11 with 33% off it is - $7.70
re:Thalia Earrings - the $5.40 was a diff sale
When Ebay sent the email the price was $8 with 88% = $1
After the glitch I changed price to $6 and removed best offer - then ended the listing
It's not from any automatic email offers because I always offered rounded numbers (no cents) and never offered % off
Sorry if I seem abrupt I'm not angry I'm stressed about it.
Here's the offer page for the pendant with added notes
I appreicate your help!

When you create a Markdown Sale, you can let Ebay email offers to buyers who put your sale item on their watchlist.
But these are sent during the sale period - not months after.

Yes the first sale of $7.70 was Nov 14 -
The older $7 offers were mine - that time I needed cash quick
Thanks for mentioning the relist notice sent to buyers -- I was worried that they won't find my products.
Anyway emergency is over - I ended all listings that were ever part of a markdown sale.
Good thing it's not system wide or it would be chaotic (but my evil side thinks if it was system wide Ebay will fix the glitch real quick - lol don't really want that)
Thanks again and it's nice to meet you (in an online sense)
