Ebay is reducing its number of "drop price" notices when I start ending other listings

Several remaining drop price notices disappeared after I started removing other listings. Apparently ebay is starting to feel the pinch. You might consider doing the same.

Why would anyone decide to remove listings because they received a suggestion from eBay to consider

dropping prices to make more sales ?

I just don't see the relevance of this post to my store or sales.  What is a "drop price" notice?  Maybe you are setting your prices more than 10% above the competition and the notices are to help you see that you need to pay attention to the competition?

I don't give a toot what other sellers' prices are. I set mine where I want them, not where Ebay or anyone else thinks they should be. Works for me.

I ignore any notices that say I should lower my price.
