I'm feeling really confused about ebay fees and the way they are charged. So, everytime I sell an item ebay appears to be taking their fees right away. They do not send the full amount that the buyer paid to my bank account. They send the amount minus their 13% or whatever it is. BUT then they are also invoicing one large lump sum that I pay once a month. It seems as though I'm being charged ebay fees twice on the same item. Once right away and once later on. Can someone explain?

Any additional charges...Usually billed at the middle of the month would be store fees, promoted fees or any additional listing fees if you went over your store amount. State taxes where applicable.

Ok thanks. That clears things up.

They only take the final value fee in managed payments. Anything else are additional charges, also your store subscription if you have a store is billed every month.

They are making changes and will pretty much be doing away with the monthly billing.
So you might want to give this a read.
