I have received 6 fraudulent offers and I accepted each and every one of them. Each time I realized it was a fraudulent offer, I canceled the transaction.
As each cancelation showed as a sale, i wanted my account to reflect no sales at all. I explained this to eBay on six or seven different occasions. Nothing was done
Today I was lucky enough to sell one of my items, and immediately after I sold the item, the buyer sent the money. I was in the process of shipping the item to the buyer, when eBay, for some reason, suspended my account forever.
I am writing this blog message Zia a separate account that I created so I can communicate with eBay. I communicated with eBay and they insisted that my account remain suspended forever
I cannot express my disgust with eBay and how they penalized me for their lack of control over fraudulent offers and fraudulent accounts
I was a new seller. Never sold an item prior to today. And on my first sale eBay cost me my sale and $1,000. To all new sellers, be aware that eBay has an incredibly questionable customer service. Be aware that they will cancel you and cancel your valid sales for no reason whatsoever. Worst part is once my account was suspended, I had no way of contacting anyone at eBay to help.
Worst possible experience selling an item I've ever experienced

You have noone to blame but yourself, you shouldnt have cancelled those transactions, you received a major defect for each one, that finished your selling career here. You should have filed a non paying bidder case on each one, you would have received your final fees back too and no defects. It usually helps to read up on criteria before you begin to sell anywhere. Ebay cannot prevent scammers from buying your items, as a newbie seller you are a scam magnet. You really should have learned how to deal with them before you started listing here, thats on you.

It is not for you to guess and decide who is or isn't fraudulent...that is ebay's job.
But I do agree with your next to last sentence...ebay should a least communicate. People are people and everyone should be treated with respect.
Ebay makes plenty of mistakes too, so there should be a way to appeal these decisions.

As a brand new seller with an expensive item (per your description, $1000), you are going to attract scammers.
I'm guessing that you assumed they were scammers because they asked for texts with contact info so they could send you fake payment notices hoping you'd ship the item before finding out that the payment didn't exist.
If this is what happened, the good thing is that the scam wasn't successful. But the bad thing was the way you handled it.
What you should have done was ignored the messages to text and just filed cancellations for non-payment on the 5th day.
That way, you wouldn't have gotten defects and you wouldn't have been suspended.
