I emailed the buyer that I did not approve of a return. What gives Ebay the right to do something like this without first checking the Seller's side of it. This is absolutely outrageous, unethical and unfair on Ebay's part. Your authorized the buyer to return the item without my notice. I'v been with Ebay for well over 15 yrs and have an excellent rating and am always more than fair with my buyers with excellent feedback. For you to do this to me is unethical, unfair and outrageous. If you did this to me on this item when I had many pics and details for the buyer to make a decision, what are you going to do on other items sold and I get the same bad treatment from you. Ebay cares more about the buyers side of things than the seller. I also work with other on-line sites, especially Etsy and all of them do not treat the sellers so unethical and unfair as you do. I honestly cannot see myself doing business with Ebay much long. It's simply not worth it. You don't even provide phone calls anymore and Ebay has become all so IMPERSONAL AND UNCARING ON THE PART OF THE SELLER. Long and short of this last transaction regarding the dog outfit, I NEVER OK'D A RETURN UNTIL I WORKED THIS OUT WITH EBAY. YOU WENT RIGHT AHEAD TO TOLD THE BUYER TO RETURN. HOW DARE YOU TREAT SELLERS LIE THIS.

You've been selling here a long time, you should be aware if this was a snad complaint, the seller doesnt get a chance to explain,or disapprove of the return. What you should have done is approved the refund after return, and provide the buyer with a return label.Since Ebay had to step in, they see you as an unresponsive seller, and you also received a defect. After the case was closed in the buyers favor, you could have appealed.

I'm sorry you feel this way but honestly this platform offers a MBG to all buyers so not sure why you seem so surprised. The TOS that you agreed to specify that all sellers must refund for any items deemed not as described or missing parts. You didn't specify what the return case was for so I'm presuming it falls into one of those categories where eBay will automatically accept a return on the seller's behalf. This is a policy for this platform. Your posting of not accepting returns doesn't override the policies for this platform. Hopefully you can relist your item and make up for the return shipping loss. I believe you get your fees back from eBay once you have refunded. Best of luck to you....

You just found out that if a buyer claims something along the lines of an Item Not as Descibed, that eBay automatically approves the return?
All you have to do now is decide if you want the item returned before you refund.

Op didnt refund, Ebay did..that means he got a defect too..

You don't have a side,

If the buyer filed an INAD, there is nothing to explain that will change the outcome.
You either accept the return or Ebay will do it for you, or they'll just refund the buyer from your account.

As suggested, there is no more 'seller's side'. Whatever the buyer picks from the return menu is all that counts. It need not be true, and nobody cares (but you) anymore. Your description is not considered, nor your photos. Either you fund the return, and hope you get your item back, or simply refund the buyer and let them keep the product for free.
If you refuse, eBay will make that choice for you at your expense.

The term "No RETURNS or REFUNDS" is really a non issue on EBAY. Seller's can put it in there description, but it means NOTHING** If a buyer want to return something they will find a way to RETURN and get a REFUND.
I have found it much easier to just do returns.

Agreed ebay just did the same thing to me I quickly remembered this is why I quit using ebay , they are ruining the sellers and they dont seem to get without us they dont have a platform , and at this point they dont need to be in business ripping off the sellers and letting the scammers get away with the money and the item. Theres other platforms and were in process of building a multi marketplace FOR THE SELLERS and scammers beware......Thats enough of this if anybody wanting to help out or suggestions please let me know ...
