I recently received a message from ebay stating they had added a best offer option to one of my listings.
When I went through the steps to remove the best offer I noticed ebay made the automatic acceptance of the offer at 50% of my listing.
I've seen similar queries about this issue but no responses. I checked my account settings and there wasn't anything about ebay adding a best offer without my permission.
How can I ensure it doesn't happen again? Did I miss it's inclusion in a seller update announcement?
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.

You can't. eBay will add the best offer feature at their discretion. It used to be a function of using the mobile app, or the old "short form" for listing. That is no longer the case. eBay will add it no matter what format you use to list now. They seem to favor "new" sellers or those that have higher prices than the bot determines to be more than the norm so to speak. If you remove that feature, don't be surprised if they put it back in a day or so.

The best oway to handle this that, I could recommend for this is to include the best offer option as part of your original listing. You can then set the dollar value of the offers you want to evaluate and those you do not. This might actually work to your advantage, This is just works for me.
