Ebay Stopping my listing for suspected counterfeit when they sold me the item to begin with!!!

I bought a couple Louis Vuitton items from a trusted reseller in Japan that just needed some cleaning up. I got them authenticated here, cleaned up and relisted but ebay knocked my listings as counterfeits! Won't tell me why or let me relist.

The funny part is that I took one of the bags to Louis Vuitton boutique to fix the zipper which they did. They wouldn't have done this if it was a fake.

You did not purchase them from ebay.  You purchased them from a seller in Japan on ebay.

How long ago did you purchase them?

What does "authenticated here" mean?  And was this done before or after you purchased them?

I would reach out to eBay customer service on their Facebook for Business page. They are well trained with some authority to help.

This sounds typical of eBay. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. Good luck.

Unfortunately, the way you describe the situation less the authentication claim, (admittedly I was unaware eBay offered), sounds reminiscent of a game of "Hot Potato" or "Musical Chairs" !

When the buzzer went off & the music stopped you were left holding the hot potato without a chair..

If you're in the resale business long enough it happens,, Switch your thought process to dollar cost averaging instead of this one item and save yourself the stress..

Didn't work for me either.. Breath ! We Feel Ya!

Thank you. When I have contacted through the regular channels they have not known anything other than what I already knew.

Semantics. You obviously knew what I meant. I went through ebay which they are preventing this time around. It is really same same for this situation.

I had them authenticated by a third party. I did it after. Also, I took them into the Louis Vuitton boutique because they needed a zipper pull. I am fortunate to live in a city with a workshop and they fixed it.

maybe you need to a file a claim against the seller you bought from.

Many details missing here, but this gets to the point of your issue.

24 years on ebay have never seen this, I just got one of these on two of my items, I have been hit with Vero's in the past and successfully fought them, sometimes with my IP lawyer and sometimes by myself, and have had everyone I fought removed, as I only sell legit products. The item is a collectible and over 7 years old and has been sold and listed for years here. This is new, it is directed specifically from ebay, they will not discuss why or how they know, but they are the end all Judge Jury and executioner.  At least in the Vero program you have federal law to fall back on, not sure you can do anything here, it their platform. They are not entertaining any receipts, invoices, or letters from the President.  They were some how tipped they said either from a bot or a person and have decided from the pictures and listing description that they could be counterfeit, but not claiming that they are, but they don't want them on the sight. I got my first two. There is no defense, its ebays platform and they can do what they want. I use ebay as a major source of income, now terrified of the next outcome. Not sue what is motivating them, but there must be something behind this effort on thier part. Again, I have been doing this for 24 years, first time I have seen this. They said they wouldn't accept a letter directly from the brand or manufacture  attesting to the authenticity of the item either, so looks like a bumpy ride ahead.  Something's blowing in the wind and doesn't seem good.
