They do this to all sellers, you just haven't had your turn yet, and you can make a sure bet its coming. If you can't cough up the receipts, they terminate your selling abilities.
Back in 2015 ebay demanded receipts for all 650+ items I had listed at the time.

Are your invoices wholesale invoices from the manufacturer or their authorized wholesale distributor?
If not, they may not be acceptable, and the response is a request for acceptable invoices.

From the manufacturer

How many pieces were you able to provide either manufacturer invoices or receipts for back in September?
I ask because they seem to be asking for specifics.
(NOTE: This documentation must show your suppliers' information, items purchased, quantity purchased, price per unit and your payment information.)
You have left feedback for more than 800 units in the last 6 months and currently have 100+ listed. The invoices you provide will have to cover all your sales and your current listings. As you add more quantities, they will need to see updated invoices.

Can also be they want make sure its not a drop ship and since these are memory cards that they meet the various requirements to even be resold in the USA. "Chip Wars" are going on across the semi-conductor industry as you're likely aware. Last year I bought half dozen 256 GB flash drives off Temu and when they arrived two were shot and one worked fine and then just quit, wouldn't even format.

The invoices I sent have the date of September 2023 and are 250 pieces.
The problem isn't that they must be recent invoices?

Just curious why your listings are private? Sometimes that's not a good thing. It looks like you're trying to hide something and can also set off red flags. You also have some unhappy customers. This request may have a lot of things tied to it.

Im not drop ship, I have all my merchandise on stock and ship same day or one day later.

I don't know what you mean with you question but my listings can be seen by anyone and the private listing option as far as I understand is for this: This allows buyers to remain anonymous when they bid on or buy an item.
If that option does anything else or removes visibility from my listing, let me know.
It is impossible to keep all clients happy even if you give 200% of yourself.
I haven't tried communicating with eBay via Facebook.

In your feedback it states "private" under the item you sold. You may want to check it out.
The facebook link is very helpful. I would consider it. It might help you.
Again, Good luck.

Sorry, I timed out. This is what I'm talking about that can be helpful:
Do you see where you have your price set up? On the right there is a link that reads "See all options" click on it. Sometimes eBay can be sneaky and mark off things you may not want in your listings. On the very bottom it states you can offer private listings. In my opinion, visibility in would be helpful to your shop. Slide what ever options you don't want to the left and keep an eye on it.
Again, just trying to be helpful and hoping a good outcome for you.
Good luck.

I have never heard of ebay asking for invoices from a seller. Why would they do that and what triggers them to ask for it?
01-25-2024 04:25 PM
eBay wants to make sure the product is legit. Invoices will verify the product came from an authorized source and didn’t ‘fall off a truck’.
A person with hundreds and hundreds of an item should be able to show a paper trail of how they were obtained.

I'm afraid your eBay selling days maybe numbered. A whole lot of people say your items are fake. Now eBay has you in the cross hairs. Eeek

They're selling generic SD cards, which is not illegal, what is there to fake?
