Ebay Message System Not Working.

I just tried to send a message through the Ebay system and it's not working.  Is anyone else having this problem?

I just sent you a private message through ebay and one through the board messaging as well. It seemed like they worked on my side. Did you get the messages?

Yeah. I was trying to respond to a buyer email with an offer - and it did not come up as an option. But until now, in similar cases, it did. And sometimes, when I reply to a question, the SEND button is not there to click on.

It's actually not working for this one bidder.  I responded to one person, however it's not working with the other.

Yes, I was unable to respond to a message earlier this evening, I just got an error page. The buyer said they tried to purchase a game from me and received a message the sale was incomplete. It was a new account though, so who knows. Either way, I tried and was unsuccessful in responding to their messages.

I have been getting the "error" message when trying to reply to a potential buyer question.

Did a chat with CS, and was assured that it would work in 15-20, as the CSR had reset the system. 1-1/2 hour later the same errors came up.

Chat with a second CSR. Suggested maybe a problem with my "modem". If there was a problem with my "modem" how would I possibly be on eBay in a chat with CS? Suggested that I clear cookies, cache, and restart the computer.  Of course that was also not the issue.

I was able to respond to the question by using "reply with offer" even though that was not what was either of us wanted.

Buyer responded, and once again I could not message the buyer.

The way I was able to do it was to go to the individuals "feedback" and click on "contact member".

I need to remember that process. It is not often that I have to respond to a buyer/potential buyer, but do not need the buyers to think they are being ignored.

I've been on eBay long enough to know what should not be in a message, so it was none of that.  No "warning in the "error" message. It was on the eBay end. Kept saying "server down".

Last month I could not message a buyer that had a "failed payment".

The item actually ended and it looks like they resolved the issue themselves.

Good that it was resolved without your answer to them.

Would be great if eBay could fix this problem, so that we could respond😊
