I had a much different experience with this issue . eBay called me and even though the tool says I did not have any duplicates they called me and said that they were ending over 1,000 of my listings . They are not duplicates but different bundle which CS told me last year was fine but the new policy for duplicate listings has flagged over 1,000 listing of mine and they are not giving me a chance to fix. ebay called to say they are ending over 1,000 of my listings. Most have been up several years with many watchers, sales & great best match placement. They are ending these without offering an opportunity to fix them. They changed the duplicate listing policy & instead of giving me an opportunity to fix my listing to the new policy like I always have, they just called to say that they are ending my good profitible listings since they changed their policy. Last year I got in trouble for duplicates even though they were not. I called sustomer service & explained that I sell a item swith a couple different bundles based on the buyers needs & at the time they agreed that it was not a duplicate violation as long as each was clearly offering different items. Now ebay is changing again but this nime no option to fix. I called customer service this time and received 3 very different answers. One said that the upc that ebay had all of us add is now gonna flag you as duplicates if you have more then one. And he said I can relist once they end but just replace upc with does not apply on the bundles items since ebay does not offer a place for more then one UPC. The other person said that ebay is moving towards each seller only being able to use one UPC one time in their store and others will be considered duplicates. They are moving towards one listing with many color options or bundle options all in the one listing like amazon or guitarcenter.com. But this is not the ebay I have been using and signed up with . The flaw in this plan is that many companies use a universal upc for customs models and colors and therefore their plan is flawed and I will not be able to list 1/4 of my product on this site that seems to be jumping the gun on this entire force change in format rather then introducing it as an option they are ending over 1,000 of my listing without a chance to fix to adhere to new policy. I have never been so disappointed in a change of format by them. this is going to cost my business a ton of money by ending auctions that have been up for 5 years with many sales , watchers, and best match placement.
My question to ebay since they said not to bother attempting to fix lisitngs because they flagged weeks ago & will be ended regardless of being updated. I need a straight answer form someone at ebay that actually know what the rules are because I have been told I can relist my snded items as long as I fix a few things, a nother employee told me to not relist them or I will be flagged and suspended. another told me a similar story. But nobody seemed like they realy knew. I stand to lose a lot of business due toi this unlawful ending of thousands of my listings due to policy change without being offered a chance to fix. I will have to step up my sales on REverb.com & amazon to make up for the thousands I will lose due to the ebay changes.
ebay????? How do I list bundles without being flagged for duplicate listings. am I able to use a upc more then once in by store as long as the image and MPN refelct the variations? I bundle 2 separete items in some cases that would have 2 UPC plus the free gift item. Since there is only one UPC spot do I put does not apply? Another ebay worker told me that too many does not apply will also get my items flagged and deleted. Please give more specifics as what can be done so I can continue mY business on ebay and not lose my Lively hood. Thank you
