Ebay AI assistant is total Garbage

Hi

 

I sold an item and then UPS lost my package. I refunded the amount and filed an insurance claim at UPS. UPS later came back saying it was delivered after investigation.

Now try telling that to the garbage AI assistant that has a cognitive ability of a door mat. I have had 5 calls dropped on me, once by an actual support person who did not know what to do. The assistant wont forward me to a person and every time to say "refund" it thinks you are the buyer. I am starting to hate Ebay and my issue is still unresolved. Obviously the buyer doesn't care since he got a refund and the product. Secondly there is no way for them to pay me unless ebay intervenes.

 

I just need help and I'm sick of wasting time with AI agents who are dumb AF!

@zoalord1212    don't know all the specifics of your situation, but , in part, if u used an eBay generated shipping label, u can get reimbursed from eBay, here is the info>

I agree the AI feature is so confusing and hard to use. I try to avoid at all costs.

 

Here's the thing. Once you have refunded your customer there is nothing that you can do do try to get them to pay for the item that has now been delivered. Nice customers would give you the heads up and offer to pay but if they don't offer you can't ask them for the payment. 

 

The ebay system will not let you generate a new invoice.  If your customer messages you and says they want to pay there are some work arounds to get the funds back to you. But the customer would have to offer to pay and sadly, many customers do not care after they have been refunded.

 

This has happened to me to over the years. I write off the loss on my income taxes.

BooHoo maybe try anyway to get eBay to refund you, if u use chat, type in 'agent' to get a live person, or u can ask for a call back, i don't recommend speaking the customer service reps.

Thanks everyone for the response and I know we all feel the pain of dealing with these dog-sheet agents. If only someone at Ebay had a seller account.

 

- The agent wont forward you to a support person 9 out of 10 times. It's actively making sure of that. One time the agent even lied to me. I was forwarded to a person at around 10:17am EST, the person listened to my issue and put me on hold, then hung up. I called again and the agent kept saying "you are calling at a time when agents are not available" at around 10:20am EST.

 

- Ebay definitely needs a good competitor in the market.
