Early ending of listing

Hello all.

I was watching an item that had about 4 days to end yet, and zero bids; a few minutes ago I checked up on it and it was listed as "ended, 1 bid". Is a seller allowed to do that?

Yes, a seller may end a listing by choosing "sell to the highest bidder", without penalty.

Re: Early ending of listing

Yes they can for various reasons including there may have been an error in the listing or even another buyer made him a high offer for it. Its not good practice to end auctions early but sellers have the right to do it.

This is why bidding early and putting in a strong proxy bid @ the max amount you are willing to pay is the proper way to bid vs waiting til the last minute, aka sniping or bidding each time someone else does.
