EBay ignores their own list of "prohibited items"

Ebay is clearly allowing the selling of merchandise that breaks their own rules of exploiting tragedies (human and animal), as well as promoting violence. Just search for "aligator" and how many "Aligator Alcatraz" items show up?? Disgusting.

What's next?

Holocaust exploitation

Nazi gear

Cruel and unusual punishment is still prohibited under the 8th amendment in the Constitution.

Where is your credible proof of illegals in Alligator Alcatraz being starved, murdered in gas chambers, shot by firing squads, medically experimented on, or incinerated in ovens?

One of the biggest causes of death in any concentration camp (or regular prison for that matter) has been lack of medical attention for individuals' chronic conditions, injuries, and communicable diseases acquired during incarceration.  So if such deaths ever start getting reported at this facility, how much would it take to be unacceptable to you?   I'm asking for a number of deaths per time period.

This facility should be held to the same standards as any other detention center, no matter who the detainees are. As far as concentration camps go, we don't have them in America despite so many people wanting to portray detention facilities that way.

I knew you wouldn't answer my question.

You're not supposed to say that.  The American business owner is holy, sacred, and above the law.  He has no responsibility to use available technology to thoroughly screen the legal status of his employees, only to provide goods or services to the public at the lowest prices.  It is his prerogative if he encourages employees to to encourage their family and friends to cross the border and come work for him, to offer 'x' amount of pay but then pay only 'y' instead, to not pay overtime, not allow any kind of leave, just get as much labor out of each body as possible for the smallest amount of money. So sayeth the almighty dollar, amen.

I answered it. But if you want to play some silly numbers game, then how many horrific deaths of innocent young American girls by the hands of illegals are acceptable to you? How many number of deaths per time period?

I'll play your silly non-numbers game.
-No more innocent young American girls than Americans cause horrific deaths to.

Strange way to put it.

Anyway, as the moderator said, it's gotten way off topic. Ebay is more suited to buying and selling than politics. Back to the original post, ebay has not ignored their prohibited items policy. There are people on both sides of the issue, obviously with strong feelings; pro and anti merchandise should stay.

Re: EBay ignores their own list of "prohibited items"

Despite what you seem to believe, immigrants, documented or not, are much less likely to be violent offenders (murder, **bleep**, robbery). So picking an outlier event to prove your point shows bad faith.

That's not accurate. When some jurisdictions don't differentiate between citizens and illegals, it skews the statistics. And there's many more reasons the statistics aren't accurate, but this isn't the place to hash it out.

There are far more deaths of American girls done by American People than there are of migrants.

Deaths of American girls by illegal migrants are PREVENTABLE if the illegals are not in the United States to begin with.

Possibly quite true as it is my some Americans.  It is a two way street.  I want all the children safe and away from harm, but a perfect world in not likely in the near future.  However with humanity we sure can improve it.

Diaz Chacon 2016 -Saved a 6-year-old girl after chasing down the van that he witnessed her being abducted into.

Manuel Cordova 2007 -Rescued a 9-year-old boy, Chris Buchleitner after a car wreck that killed his mother.

Juan Carlos Salgado 2019 -Saved police officer Alonzo Reid by smashing window of his burning patrol car and pulling him out.

All undocumented immigrants.  All "PREVENTABLE " rescues.

Of course it does. Raiding workplaces is the lazy law-enforcement equivalent of low-hanging fruit (especially ironic when they are raiding California fruit farms).

If you read a bit more about the Jocelyn Nungarary case you will learn that the two suspects had already been picked up on immigration charges by the Border Patrol but were released pending future court action. The murder occurred later on. They were identified by a roommate after their images appeared on surveillance video and were circulated to the media.

Those fruit farms should be fined for each illegal they hire.

Good point. Why is it that the companies and people hiring them rarely ever get in trouble?

Farming, construction, etc. The top industries where these illegals work just happen to be majority Republican owned, right?

Anyway, the purpose of this thread initially had to do with Alligator Alley items. They should not be banned by ebay, either pro or anti.

Should they be illegal? No. Whether or not they should be banned by eBay is up to eBay.
