I am seeing that the EBAY logo is all red now (although there are place it is still multi colored). What is the deal with that? Doing a quick search on colors as related to sales shows that the color "red" creates a sense of urgency and is most often used in a "sale" situation. The color "blue" on the other hand creates a sensation of trust and security. Other colors like "yellow" grab attention and green tends to relax people. The way the logo was had all those colors. What is Ebay trying to project? That they are a bargain basement sales rack? If they changed it to any one solid color I would think it would be blue to project a sense of trust and security. That is certainly what they say they are doing with all the changes they have forced on sellers.

Hi! visual changes to the logo should not be cause for alarm. This is a common practice for the holiday season and we have made many changes to our logo over the years. Happy holidays!
