Since I see no sold listings for you under this ID, my comments for you are general, and not specific to your experience.

eBay's fees are based on the item price plus the shipping cost plus the state sales tax if applicable.
And this is probably explained somewhere in the Seller Information Center, the part about fees.

Information on fees is available prior to listing your item(s).  What did you believe your fees should have been?

Remember fees are based on the entire transaction (item+shipping+sales tax).  This is often the greatest source of misunderstanding regarding fees.

You know you're no longer paying the 2.9% to PayPal, right? So eBay's fee is now what you used to pay eBay PLUS what you used to pay PayPal, which should be virtually the same as what you used to pay.

Why do so many people not understand the fee structure under MP? The fee structure is simpler. Do people not read anything?

When you originally listed the item and calculated how much it would cost to sell it on eBay, what did you calculate the fees to be?

"Do people not read anything?"

This Board would not be receiving as many questions as it does if there were more readers.

Think of the buyers who see an estimated delivery date that's months in the future, go ahead and buy and then complain because their package has not arrived within 10 days.  "But the last item I ordered from China arrived in a week!"

Think of the sellers who have a buyer who has opened an item not as described case and want to contest that claim.  "But I know it was perfect when I sent it out!"

And then there's the "I bought this back in July, 2020. and it has not yet been delivered.  What should I do?"

Or "I mailed the package promptly and I haven't been paid yet."

Just a few examples of complaints from people who did not do the reading first.
