Duration box not working. Relisting defaults to good until canceled

I just relisted an item that ended as an auction to non auction. By default it choose duration good until canceled. The duration box won’t let me switch to 30 days. What’s up with that and how do I change it to 30 days? I’ve never used good until canceled.

You have to use a computer to select the duration.

If you use the Advanced Listing form, you can chose thirty days.  The Quick Listing form defaults to GTC.

Yes, I initially used the app. Ever since they changed the app a couple days ago, I’ve been having different issues. I did go to the website to try and change it there after listing on the app, but it’s locked. I canceled the listing. Out 35¢ I guess. I wish they would quit changing the app back and forth.

I see no way on the app to get rid of their quick listing. I’m also tired of their constant nags now too as you try to list. I’ve been selling long enough to know how I want to list, but this new update on my app keeps trying to change things. I just went to try and relist it again after canceling it and nowhere on the app does it allow me how many days to list for. I just exited it. Now I’m wondering how many of my other items listed are listed as until sold. I guess I’ll go look.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my iPad. I think, not 100% sure yet, that it may have fixed the problem. I’ll find out after my next auction that doesn’t sell is ready to be relisted.

I also have the same problem. it occurs when using the ap. I read Alan@ebays response on another thread that was posted 10-10-18 that said something like- (thanks for that question, ebay found that sales are more sucessful with GTC and they are not changing it....but i'll pass on your concerns...)

I agree that not having control is not only frustrating but scary as to what the future holds for sellers.

Also automatic GTC is counterproductive. I am sure there are other sellers like me who use the end of their listing time to reevaluate pricing. i ususally lower prices at the end of my listing time; now it will be difficult to do that with autorelisting.

The point of the ap is that it is efficient and always at hand- so now we have to go to a PC to relist if we do not want GTC- again, counterproductive.

About yesterday's chat: I don't use mobile. But...I found it ironic the Blue went further to explain the techs say the longer an item stays on eBay, more visibility, easier for other platforms like Google, etc. to find your item and get a sale. Then I ask: what about lap tops/PCs? And then we have posters here complaining how all the "old" listings are clogging up the sight and as buyers they can't find anything. Just doesn't make sense. End of rant lolol. I do not use GTC because many times I, like you, want to do tweaks before I relist. AND I never re-list. Everything goes up as newly listed using my own listing program, not ebay's.
