Done with Global Shipping Program/confiscating my items

I sold a fairly rare TOY cork gun to an individual in Canada and it was confiscated.  It was sold through the Global Shipping Program........

How do I get this TOY back?  Can I get this TOY back?  Why is a TOY gun from the 1970's considered something restricted to sell?  This is a toy that they are not going to make anymore (especially in these times when everyone lives in fear from what they see on the news/social media).

Because this is the 4th time this has happened to me, I'm not going to offer ANYTHING through the Global Shipping Program anymore.  The GSP sounds like a great idea on paper, but its a guessing game as to what can be sold through it and what can't.  It's also not "buyer friendly" because the buyer has no idea what the item is going to cost them in the end.

I wonder how difficult it is, as an employee of the GSP, to declare an item as "banned," toss it in your lunchbox, and take it home.

It's obviously a pretty simple task if you work for the TSA.

Hello all, I am a long time seller on e bay and I use GSP and love it till they said that my record LP 'Doctor Hook' can not be sent to Japan. It is just a rock & roll LP. They let me have the $10 for it and paid the buyer in Japan all his monies back. I am out the shipping of $3.12 but I want to know why I can't have the option of having the record back or keeping the monies. I too am thinking someone opened it and liked it for themselves at the GSP. Now this scares me when I sell something more valuable. I want to know if it is in the trash, or where these items go.

GSP told me why are you so upset. You got your monies back.

You can sell cork guns within the US.  And they can be sold on ebay.

So you would not get a warning from ebay.

But if you sell Internationally you need to be aware of what items cannot enter which countries.

Which, of course, kills me, because for cap guns you need the orange plug and also need to say that it can't fire and can't be made to fire a projectile.

Well, a cork is a projectile ............

What happened to their liquidator? Or are they too busy selling confiscated guitars?

Isn't that orange plug more for police that when they see someone carrying it, they will know it is a fake and hopefully not shoot you.
