I don't use the app alot, just to check and see what i sold during the day when i'm away from my computer.
I have noticed that the app and the computer don't always jive.
The computer seems to be a lot more accurate.
The app will say I have something to pack and ship when I already have done that.
Anyone else notice this?

Yes, app says add tracking, computer has the tracking.

I don’t have much faith in the app. I use Safari browser in my mobile devices.
The only thing I find the app useful for is the register sound it makes. Otherwise it would have been deleted long ago.

I get the notification bell in browsers telling me I have sales and need to ship. But the sales have already been packed up and shipped. So same issue sounds like. It’s been like that for awhile, I just ignore it.

There's an ebay app? 🙂
I never trust it, I've always just used the desktop site on my safari or chrome app.

Here you go https://www.mobiles24.co/downloads/s/634281-3-ebay_ca-ching_selling_notification
Download it as a ring tone and delete the app. Play that noise all you want. 🙂

I know this is a phone question and not a ebay question, but.....
My "cha ching" doesn't even work anymore.
It used to work, then i got a new phone, Samsung S22.
When they transferred all my data including my ebay app, that's when it stopped working.
Any phone geniuses out there gave any ideas?

In youtube I glanced at a few tutorials on how to fix this. Maybe give it a look if you haven't already.

Like a lot of sellers I only have the app for notifications and messages, then I need to get to the computer and ship something. And the cha-ching may or may not happen in real time, no matter how many times I refresh or reinstall it.
The app was never meant for sellers, only so buyers can find and buy stuff. In 2023!!! What a wonderful and forward-thinking platform this is!
I can only speak to Android but iOS gripes are the same. And they never even bothered with some other devices like Kindle.

I only use the app in the field while sourcing to find comp prices. And then I check prices again on my desktop before listing. The results often differ.

Yes, I have noticed that on the app there is a problem with messages. I will get a notification on the tablet that I got a message. I can see it once in the ebay notifications but if I try to look at it again it's gone and there's no record of it in the messages. I have to go on the computer to look for it or retrieve it from the notice on the tablet (not in the ebay notifications). Very weird. (That may or not make any sense LOL.) But that is one thing I noticed.

Same here with Samsung. When I got a new phone apparently the ka-ching sound wasn't included in the phone default sounds. In fact the new sounds were bleep compared to my old phone (also a Samsung).
If it isn't in the phone's default sounds you have to dl it then attach it to the ebay selling notifications.

another app on the phone just means more tracking and selling information. If I'm away from home, I have e-mail and can log in to eBay via wi-fi until I get back home.
Love my desktop!
