I used to be able to search my active listings but since this profile update, the entire search field is just gone...and now struggling to efficiently locate inventory. I am NOT a "store."

Yes, it's gone. There have been several threads discussing it. Just another one of eBay's stellar enhancements for a better buying and selling experience. 🙄

The powers that be at eBay decided non store sellers didn’t need a search bar.
I read in this forum that if you want a search bar you’ll need a store for that.
Just another hairbrained idea for eBay to make more 💰

You can search your active listings in Seller Hub.

eBay has recently redesigned the "seller's other items" page, and the search option seems to have disappeared. Sellers with stores also had the search option go away, but it was recently restored for store owners on the store page. Perhaps eBay is not done making changes and all sellers will get that option back at some point.
In the mean time, it is still possible to search a seller's items even if the seller does not have a store by using the Advanced Search page to search for the seller's items. The resulting page will allow searches of just that seller's items.
For your own items, you can bookmark this link:
To search another seller's items instead, substitute that seller's username in place of your own in that page address or use the Advanced Search page.

You always come up with such great solutions, suggestions, and work-arounds!
The fact remains, however, that unless a buyer is aware of these alternatives, both the buyer and the seller end up on the losing end of the design. That's the unfortunate result of some many of these changes. Perhaps it's the Law of Unintended Consequences or perhaps the intent is to encourage sellers to spend more money by subscribing to a store.

I asked Devon on the Canadian sellers board if this was a permanent change or a glitch. His reply seems to suggest that it is not an intended change.
His response:
Hi @pjcdn2005! There have been multiple reports of members running into this same issue. There is a sitewide ticket that has been open to have this resolved. If there are any members that are running into this they can reach out to customer support here and have their account added to the ticket. You will just let them know that you are running into ALERT 14287.

I am still not convinced that the change was an intentional one. Searching through a seller's other items is such an obviously useful feature that removing it makes absolutely zero sense. Sellers with stores also had their search function removed as well, before it was eventually restored. I suspect that the feature will be restored to all sellers' "items for sale" pages at some point.
If the intent was to get sellers to subscribe to stores, eBay would have advertised that fact as if it was a great new feature, like how managed payments gets sellers their payments in under two days.
