I was just over at the Spring Update thread area, and noticed that all the topic threads are now locked. What happened?

Not a first for ebay.
People have had a chance to moan and complain, so after a while ebay locks the threads because it has all been said.

I can see how the simplified returns topic probably burnt them out, and they couldn't lock just that one. That would look pretty bad. I didn't see much of anything positive posted either. People were pretty fired up.

Not a new phenom.

I hope to take it as a sign that Each and Every feedback from all who’d voiced out will be taken into account ...
That the new Spring Updates will be revised to a version that are more palatable, workable, + profitable for All sellers.
For example :
1) Do away with 30 days Free Return
2) Basic store 500 allocations - free range: for sellers to do as they see fit.
3) etc, etc,

Nope. Ebay let the sellers let off steam.
And now they will do what they always intended to do.

Most threads started about changes by ebay they lock.
They let us run for a bit, then lock.
Some threads have 3 or 4 ebay staff responding to them.
They can't just tie up staff for months.
At some point it has all been said.

It wouldn't be in eBay's nature to do that. eBay's the type to toss you a lead filled life preserver when your about ready to drown from treading water way too long.

Hope you're right.....
Why doesn't ebay ever ask us sellers for advice on positive changes for the future, after all, aren't we the one's actually doing the selling?

That's no reason to lock the threads. They don't need to reply every time. They don't reply to many of my posts directed at some of them. A lot of people were just posting among themselves anyway. LOL...they don't even reply, to my replies of messages that they send me.

It's always like this for awhile after every new update thread, spring and autumn. I think it must serve as that pressure release valve thing-y on the old pressure cookers, allowing those who need to steam for awhile some release before they blow.

Like when they asked everyone for their input about revamping the boards, and wasted everyones time and energy, by ignoring the general consensus. What a nightmare that was. Every time you created a thread that fit in their so-called thread category, they quickly moved it from the selling board.
