Does anyone know if you change your return policy for a listing, whether it only applies to purchases after you made the change, or will previous sales of that listing fall under the adjusted return policy?
So for example, I have active multiple quantity listings with a No Return policy that I'd like to change to free 30 day returns going forward. When I make that change, will buyers who purchased the item up to 30 days ago (when the listing was set up under a No Returns policy) be allowed to have free returns since the listing now has 30 day free returns, or will only future buyers of items in that listing be allowed to receive the free returns benefit?
Thanks!

No, changes to your return policy for a listing will not affect past sales for that listing.
How would you feel if a seller offered 30 day free returns at the time you bought an item, and then changed it to "no returns" afterward? 🙂

The new policy will not affect past transactions.

Aha... got it. NO... your current revisions will not apply retroactively to your sold listings.

No confusion to be had. When you make a return policy change, it applies to all current, live listings as well as future listings. It is not retroactive.

Changing your return policy is like changing your price. It only applies AFTER you make the change.

Hm... this made me think a little on a related note. What about other listing content? If someone buys from your listing, then you change the title afterwards... the buyer sees the new title on the listing in their purchase history page, correct? What about the gallery pic?
I haven't tested any of this as I never thought about it before. So someone say I'm wrong please.

No. The buyer will see the info on the listing (and gallery pic) he/she saw at the time he/she purchased.
