I've lowered the price and added more cartridges. I wonder if it has to do with them being generics and not the real OEMs?

I've *bought* empty ink carts more than a few times. However, for me they HAVE to be empty genuine Canon CLI-42 cartridges, since they have the chip and my printer won't accept them without the genuine chip. Maybe that's why some of your generic carts aren't selling?

I have sold HP cartridges empty. Purchased new by me and used by me. None had ever been refilled.
Other sellers were using the term "Virgin Cartridges" which indicated they had never been refilled.
So, Listed 2 groups. 1st group took several months to sell and the second group sold in minutes. Go figure.
Didn't make me rich. But it's all good it's all profit.
I'm assuming there are cartridges that are easy to sell and cartridges nobody wants.

These inks are generics, not OEM, that may be the difference. They may be harder to refill.

Best to just throw them away. Not worth the time and effort. Find something better to sell.

There is actually quite a market for used ink carts. Where do you think the cartridges come from that are used by the "generic" refilled ink cart sellers? The ink cartridge fairy?
No, they come from people who sell them, and from ink cart recycling.
That said, I have had good luck with empty HP carts. I've never listed any of the refilled third party ones, I just use the little envelope and send them back - I never really thought to list them lol

Well I can tell you that most that attempt to get refilled get rejected. What happens with all those returns the OP will have ? I am here just to give good advice. If you think it is worth your time and effort to make a buck and take that risk then so be it.

I tried those a couple of times and my experience with refillable generic ink cartridges is that they leak and that's a messy experience. That's a generalization but because of my experience I won't touch them. Maybe I got a bad batch but still won't touch them. Others may feel the same and even others will say they are fine.

I recall that Office Depot would give you a credit for empty cartridges when you bought new cartridges. Beats trying to sell them online.
