Do sellers with a store have different options in the eBay app?

That is to say, is the app different depending on whether you are logged in as a regular user vs a store owner? 

There is apparently a new tool (previously available only as a beta) for removing backgrounds from photos uploaded to ebay. Automatically replaces it with a white background. Supposedly only available for iPhone users currently.  

However, I checked the app and it does not seem to exist, although I watched a YouTube video where it was demonstrated. Were they possibly using the beta version, or is there some other reason (like not having a store) that would explain why it's missing from my app?

I have the iPhone app, but not aware of what you’re referring to. There are apps that edit your photos before uploading to eBay. It seems you may me speaking of something built into the eBay app?
There was a mention at the eBay open referencing white backgrounds, but haven’t heard anything more about it.
Do you have a link? Scratch that, it may be against the community rules. What’s the name of the video?

That sounds more like a 3rd party plug-in rather than something built in to the app by eBay.

Which iphone are you trying this on?

In that other thread the people with iphone6 are not finding it but the 6 is not supported by the latest iOS (13.x) release. Only the 6s and newer can run iOS 13 which might be necessary for this feature.

I'm just guessing because I don't own ANY iOS devices.

I can say it is available with iPhone 7P. I just played around with it. I haven’t gotten it to work with glass yet.

So I guess this tool won't be available for desktop anytime soon (if ever).

I have a 6s, am updated to iOS 13 - still I cant access this background tool. My ebay app is updated to the req'd 5.4.0 version. I called ebay -- they know very little about this tool. I was unable to access it while uploading a photo to a draft listing. I hate listing on my phone anyway. I asked them to submit my request for a laptop version. If they want white photos so badly they ought to make a white background tool universally available!

I have iphone 8 and it works amazing on my ebay app. 

I have tried to help friends in my meet up group who use Android and I don't see it on their phones.

On my phone I went in to listing, clicked Revise, clicked photo, and clicked on first photo.

Clicked "remove background" then framed my pic and hit continue.

It really is amazing and works on most pictures.
