Do listings with longer handling time affect overall eBay store listings?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if our store has the listings with longer handling time (for example 15 day) does it effects on other store listings with 1-2 days handling time listings overall?

For example in search results positioning and visibilities...

Search returns are by item.  Each item is eval'd on its own to determine placement in the search returns.  There are all kinds of factors that Ebay uses for place listings in search returns.  Few of which they will share.  But it is based on the listing, not the store.  Your status as a seller plays into it, but again on a per listing basis.

Good question. I can not say yes or not specifically. Here is what I do know around the question you are asking:

Handle Time may affect your placement in search results. If there are multiple sellers with the same item and the price is very close or the same, then handle time may affect in which order it is displayed. The reason for this is that eBay assumes that buyers shop off of "when can I get this at my house" date they display on the listings. If thate date is farther in the future, buyers are less likely to buy it. If buyers have multiple items with long handle time, they may leave the site.

I don't know if it will affect other listings in your store, but the listings with the longer handle time may have lower placements in search results depending on the competition.
