Do You Compare Yourself to Other Sellers? Why or Why Not?

Yes, I do compare myself to other Sellers.  There are Sellers out here with some great and unique products and when I see those products, I look for those things when I am sourcing. There are also Sellers who have great presentation of their listings.  Reviewing those listings has helped me to better present my product.

So, yes I do compare myself to other Sellers and I have learned a lot.

I compare myself by price and even that I don't care so much about anymore. I have found over the years that regardless of the feedback score most sellers are amateurs at best. Overall I focus on what makes me the best seller possible and leave the rest to fate.

i have to agree some here, because when I started it was always focus to be able offer the best price over other sellers, but in time I learned cheapest price doesn't always mean more sales, I have learned that on ebay having a higher price gets you the same amount of views/attention/sales as the cheaper, and the difference to before til now for me is that I'll put things up and price it and never look to see what others are having it listed for...as I know what I have, it's value, what people will pay for it aside from the value, and it's rarity (less face it, something limited to only 100 and in demand I can what I want for it)...i don't specifically care about price unless it's hard sell i.e. ebay/market is flooded with particular title and need to move it quick, it then may become what I call a "sacrificial sale" - that means something I may make zero on but it put the money back into my pocket and maybe gain another repeat buyer.

The great truth is there isn't one
