Do NOT use ebaymag.

Just a heads up.  If you haven't heard of it.  Good.  This is just a warning.  I was suggested ebaymag by an ebay agent last night to boost sales.  Poor choice.  It claims to be simple and straight forward.  But the entire process has been a nightmare.  Original listings are altered.  Shipping and payment has been changed.  Item specifics have been left out that were there, preventing the listings from being listed.  eBay sure has a why of "helping" shm

HI!

Is that just another new listing tool?    That is what it looked like to me when I googled it.   Thanks for the warning😊

Sort of.

I was told about it from an ebay agent that I chatted with last night.  They said it would give me greater visibility on an international scale.  I signed up and read the procedures.  Seemed straight forward.  It said it would "sync" all of your original listings from ebay and list them on other countries ebay sites.  It claimed to NOT  make any changes to your original listings and to do the translations and currency conversions.   Not so.  It messed with my original postings shipping options(items there are buyer pays shipping are now free shipping, even international)  it changed my returns to "no returns".  Most of the items didn't post to any of the sites because there were "item specifics" missing.  The specifics were in the original listing.  Then they were just gone.

It's a good idea, but poorly executed.

But with eBay, nothing is straight forward.  It's very convoluted.   There's probally a reason no has heard of it or uses it.  I'm in a FB ebay group with over 100k members and no one has used it.

For a second I thought I might actually be on to something.  But nope.  LOL

i use it for a long time but is a mess with shipping policy, always you have to go to the specific international site to fix them.

i use it for one reason only, sell prices in Europe for me have to be more than US because we pay extra VAT when selling, for example selling to Germany we pay 20% German tax to German goverment.

I sell in USA and outside Europe without tax because of exportation.

Finaly i have some sales from ebay mag but not so many.

Forgot to mention listing in international sites your monthly limits go down a lot!

I have more than 200 listings to be imported to the other 7 eBay worldwide websites.... during the journey, the fees for importing the listings were growing, with every listing around 04 dollars.....after I paid more than 1000 dollars to import to other websites, I wanted to stop this import but without any success... During the 2 month chat with the eBay team, the only solution I found was to stop the listings. Without any warning, all my listings that I already imported vanished and I have remained only with the fees that I have paid and are allot. The eBay client service did not help me at all... In my last chat with them, the operator logged off from the chat and cut me the option to speak with them through the chat or phone....the answers to emails are coming after 1 week or longer.....money lost.....very bad experience.....Do not dare To use ebaymaG, you will be screwed...

I hope that someone from eBay will see my post and will contact me...I am so disappointed and feel like  I was stollen........

Never heard of it and I just wonder how you were able to talk to someone from eBay?

Are you sure it was eBay? Were you directed to another sight to sign up?

@sextons-sweet-deals

This is an OLD thread that will no doubt be given the axe when the board mods come to work.  A search in eBay help will not produce any results for eBaymag on the US site, but the information apparently is still available under the 'export' files.  A google search will lead to this to a few articles such as this one:

https://export.ebay.com/ebaymag/

Basically, it looks very much like the old Webinterpret  scheme they tried to foist on US sellers a few years back.
