Sold something 2 months ago. Just today the buyer files a dispute saying item doesn’t match description . Seriously?  It’s been  2 months. Changed their mind and now want me to pay for it? What do I do?

Anyone have this happen and how was it resolved?

Clarify how the buyer filed the dispute. Was this directly on eBay or through their financial institution?

I have sent an 'authoratative' message to several buyers and never heard back from them.
eBay considers 'all sales final' after 60 days. That is also our store policy.
A buyer can not submit a return request. Menu choices disappear over time.
A buyer cannot print out a return label.
A seller cannot issue a refund.
The seller fees are not refundable.

Although NAD (not as described) claims can be filed, the buyer no longer has MBG (money back guarantee) protection which is only for 30 days from delivery.

If the buyer filed an eBay case you MUST respond within the allotted time given to you.

You can respond by clicking the decline return request button in the return case and writing a note to the buyer that all sales are final fater the 30 day MGB period.

If by "dispute" you mean a chargeback that the buyer opened through their bank or CC company you are in a tough situation. Neither your return policy or eBay's MBG policy mean anything the decision rests entirely with the CC company or financial institution.

With a NAD chargeback most of the time the CC company is going to side with the buyer. You are pretty much in a no win situation. If you dispute the chargeback the CC company is probably going to side with the buyer and fully refund them If you accept the dispute the buyer is still going to be fully refunded. Regardless of which you do the CC company is only going to focus on the financial aspect of the transaction and the buyer is going to be allowed to keep the item.

If you do not respond to the chargeback within the given timeline and the buyer asks eBay to step in the buyer will still be fully refunded and allowed to keep the item. You will also receive a ding to your account for not resolving the issue without eBay having to intervene.

If the buyer happened to open a eBay case of the same type and you prevailed in that case there is a chance eBay will protect you when it comes to the chargeback.

The  money back guarantee expired 30 days ago.  You probably now have an option enabled to just decline a return due to tye MBG being expired 30 days ago.

@lavender1919

Buyers are allowed to open these claims as some sellers have 90 day return policies, so the program has to allow for a buyer to be able to open a claim.  However if you did not offer an extended return policy the buyer's protection ran out 30 days after they received the item per the Money Back Guarantee.

Just email a copy of the policy link to them [be nice and professional] and let them know it is well past your return policy on the item they purchased and the protection Ebay offers for buyer.

You will be fine.  Just be kind and professional to the buyer.

Respond to the claim and tell the buyer you are denying it.  Then just leave it alone unless Ebay tells you differently.  Eventually Ebay will close it.

While the OP should do that, on this particular case it would not be required because the buyer's protection under the MBG ran out 30 days after delivery.

Still waiting for your response to a couple of questions that were posed. You may be getting some bad advice depending on whether this was a NAD opened through eBay or whether it is a chargeback opened through the buyers CC company or bank. If it is an eBay claim/case you have some hope, if it is a CC chargeback you have little.
