I am in the process is selling a huge collection mostly items purchased over several years by a former Disney Store employee. When I use the eBay scanning tool a scan one of these unopened items it never comes up with a match. Is there something different with the Disney Store barcodes, or am I doing something wrong. Thanks in advance for any help.

You will only get a match if the item/bar code is in eBay's Product Catalog. Of all the UPC codes in current use I doubt more than a small percentage are included in the Catalog.

My suggestion @theoldbookman58 is to manually enter one of the numerical codes into a UPC database to see if it's recognized as a UPC or if it's just an internal Disney reference number. At least then you'll know if it's worth continuing to try or not. A lot of stores use internal numbers instead of UPCs.

Disney store barcodes are within a range of UPC numbers which are reserved for store use and assigned differently for different stores.
Although formatted like UPCs they are store specific and not registered. The same number can be used by a thousand other stores for a thousand other products - maybe even more.

If these are discontinued Disney products, the UPC number has probably been withdrawn, as is common with nearly all discontinued products.
There are only a limited number of UPC numbers available, so manufacturers regularly remove out-of-date and discontinued UPC number from their product inventories.

Looking for information on Disney products....just look in eBay and usually seller's items will should information about item and what the going rate is for the item...I do it all the time for selling stamps here.

Totally agree -- I don't bother trying to look up UPC, MPN or ISBN codes, because those numbers are unreliable, due to discontinuation and re-using for other products.
It is more reliable to look up similar and/or identical items on eBay, and compare with what other sellers are using for suggested selling prices.
