Does anyone else agree that eBay selling fees are absolutely excessive and unreasonable? Rules and regulations always changing for the worse for sellers. Punishment if you do not meet selling standards or do not sell enough items to satisfy them loosing your sellers ratings or stars - sounds like I am back in grade school.
I am done with selling on eBay even though I have 100 % feedback - I am done with their foolishness of school games.
If you want to close your sellers account you also loose your ability to purchase items from your buyers account being they make you close your whole account and start over - so you loose your feedback and stars. how ridiculous. Like I said back to school and get reprimanded for things that they do not want you to do. Been selling for years but I have had enough of their greed and nonsense.. Not to mention shipping fees are astronomical and eBay tacks on more money by including the selling fees onto your your sale - Unbelievable!
I wanted to see if I am the only one that feels this way..
This is not a new feeling from current changes - this has happened over the years and has definitely gone to HE - Double Hockey Sticks.. To say it mildly..

You don't have to close the account so you can still use it for buying.
Just end all your listings and don't list anymore.

I meant to say they (eBay) includes the shipping fees onto your sale - so they can charge you more money for your sale and make more money from you. How absurd (unreasonable greed)...

Once upon a time there used to be a thing called a 'broken record' - that's this subject.

No, don't have a problem with the fee's.
Gave up TRS years ago, so no problems there.
No need to close your selling account, just don't list anything.

I agree The Adyen Processing fee's are high. When ebay was pushing managed payments back in 2021 . I did talk with seller Support ebay U.S supervisor rep about business why's It did make since for me to use their managed payment do to high fee's from PayPal which I have best lower processing fee's and seller buyer protections that adyen couldn't match meet. which the rep agreed . so I don't sell on here .

Follow up. The rep also agreed I would have to raise prices do to the adyen fee's , which business why's it didn't make since to switch from lower payment processing company to higher one . Adyen is 7 on the bottom of top 10 payment processing list . Why ebay signed with them made no since.

Me? No. And yes I do sell on another account.

In looking at your fairly good recent sales it is difficult to see what you are all honked off about. Please give us some specifics about what numbers got you all upset and what you believe the fees should be instead.

Well - either you want that feedback and stars or you do not. What is it that you were reprimanded for anyway? And you do understand that you do not have to close out your account - right? Just stop selling and you can continue to buy all day long. Also - as a buyer you maintain your 100% rating for free because sellers can leave you nothing but Positives. You do not get stars for buying though - except for the one star whose color is determined by your feedback number.

Shipping fees are not determined by Ebay and in fact you can purchase on-line discounted shipping via them or other carriers. Their fees are based on a percentage of the buyer payment.
Now please give us some specifics on what got you so upset. Were you paying for promoted listings that you did not really need? Underestimating your shipping costs after the sale?

How much more was Adyen charging relative to PayPal? And (you have been asked this question repeatedly) what is that "top 10 payment processing list" actually ranking? Volume? Fees? Customer satisfaction? Please give your source.

No.
Of course it would be nice if their fees were lower.
It would also be nice if a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk were lower.
But we're all in business to make money.
Good luck finding a better place to sell other than ebay.

They also include any sales tax the buyer pays.

In most categories, the fee's haven't change that much.
When I started fee's were around 13% between Ebay and Pay Pal and now they are 13.6%

So I see this is the first and only time you've come to the Community. - Not to seek help when you needed it, not to give help to others who needed it, just to come and dump a page of grief and see if your misery has company?
Did you think of scrolling down a page or two, to "see if I am the only one that feels this way" or just launch right into your rant? I guarantee you could have saved yourself the time if you had bothered taking a look around here first.

Yep, there are rules on ebay and if you don't follow them, you get punished.....just like in school, just like in real life........ Go 60 mph in a 30 mph zone......get a ticket......do it a number of times, get your license suspended and insurance rates go up....... what makes you think Ebay should be any different?
