Hello All,
Why is it, that an item I listed, yets yanked within minutes and gets me put on selling restrictions, because of it being a so-called "Assault Weapon" related item, when there are literally tens of thousands of parts related that are listed, yet, they're able to continue selling, year after year? They're selling dozens and dozens of parts...some in the hundreds. If that isn't discrimination, what is?

Yup, my money too.

Not necessarily, on the other hand it might have been bots, too.
The ONLY choice sellers have that I'm aware of (BUT you still do so at your own risk) is to read through the violation and see what specifically it is that violated you and... IF you can correct that issue it is possible you may relist, for example...
I had a lawn mower belt listed for sale, it had kevlar lining inside the belt which makes it stronger however the word 'kevlar' is a registered term by the Dupont corporation and I got the big bad banhammer slammed down on my poor little listing and it was pulled.
It was very unfair, I bought the belt with my money and it is my belt and thus by law I should be free to do with it as I please. Not to mention they deleted it cache and all, I mean it is gone, even if I wanted to relist I have to start all over!!! But I can also see how contacting an attorney and taking this whole thing to court over what amounts to be a $10 sale might not be worth the effort, not to mention that even if the judge finds in my favor it is still VERY possible that if I relist the stupid belt they will slap me again. That is so very PUNK of them but what can we do, we're the small guys here.
So, having learned here what I have learned the ONLY choice I have is to make SURE I do NOT use the word 'kevlar' again or else any of my listings that have that word anywhere within them can and will be pulled. I speak from experience when I say you have to be extraordinarily careful when relisting anything that's been pulled before, as was said you risk suspension and worse so often it is just as well do NOT relist is the easy answer.
That is just how it is, many of us have been in your exact situation before, those of us who have spent some years on this community are all too familiar with threads like this one, we've seen all of this before and more than likely will see it again too.
Good luck to you

Haven't gotten to those yet? Ebay has 14, 100 employees. When we mentioned all the other listings, the rep said 4 people were working on it. No kiddin', 4...people.
Yes, Ebay does have 14,100 employees. But there are many different departments at Ebay that attend to different functions. Not all 14,100 are working on pulling counterfeits or listings that are against Ebay policy.
Possibly the 4 people are designated to handle that specific item and category.

Possibly yes, possibly no. Items get sold within minutes of listing so I believe it could work for a report as well.

Have you had other takedowns in the past?
If so, that could explain why this one was taken down so fast. You are on the bot's special watched list.
But IRL some are always breaking the law... Manyw ill be caught - eventually.
So imo stop looking to what other people are doing. They could be one breath away from losing their selling privileges.
Just conduct your business ethically and according to platform rules, then you will have nothing to worry about.

Sometimes it is not the item itself that causes a listing to be pulled, burather the listing itself.
For instance, it is not necessarily against policy to list a general-use part that happens to fit what eBay deems to be an assault weapon. But it is against policy to list that same general use part and state that it fits what eBay deems to be an assault weapon.
There are also other situations where the format of the listing is the violation, rather than the item itself; ex. magazines must have the manufacturer and model clearly identified; hammers can not be listed for sale outside the USA, etc. etc.
Can you give us the exact wording of eBay's message about the listing?
(Apologies if this has been raised before; I did not read the whole thread)
