Okay, I've noodled on this for years, since eBay stopped letting us sell digitally delivered goods except in their Classified Ad format (does anybody really see that?).
Here is my question....If I make a listing for a PRINTED COPY of a crochet pattern, can I also offer them an additional service of a FREE pdf to their email while they wait on the printed copy?
Technically, I wouldn't be "selling" the pdf....just the printed copy.
I like this idea but need feedback, please. Thanks.

I didn't think selling "printed copies" were allowed in itself?
So you have a pattern, and you're xeroxing it?
Or scanning it into your computer and then printing off as many as you sell?
?

If you're only selling the single original pattern,
forgive me for misunderstanding.
Thanks.

I'm not aware of any mechanism for offering an additional service.

I'm thinking you can't email them,
if I'm reading this correctly:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/digitally-delivered-goods-policy?id=4...
"Restricted
An eBook that you created and own the rights to sell, as long as you follow the requirements above and these restrictions:
If you're going to send an eBook by email or have it downloaded from a website, you need to:
List it in the Everything Else category
Use the Classified Ad format
If you list eBooks in a category other than the Everything Else category, you need to:
Send the eBook by postal mail
Include the following text in your listing, word for word. We recommend copying and pasting it into your item description. Be sure to use the same font size as the rest of your description.
I will send this eBook by postal mail. Sending it by email or by any other digital delivery method is not allowed and violates eBay policy."
