Did anyone get a negative on Christmas Day?

Day isn’t over yet and honestly with all the crud that’s been happening this year I’m looking out for mine today.

Not yet **knock on wood**

Did anyone get a negative on Christmas Day?

              unwelcome feedback

The day is not over & there's tomorrow

Dear buyer is unhappy because

the package did not arrive in time

 for the holiday

Don't know what to give that special seller with 100% feedback ?

Want your gift to be especially memorable ?

eBay affords you the perfect solution, give the gift of a neg, something that will stay with your seller for an entire year , if not subject to removal

Did anyone get a negative on Christmas Day?

Okay so I spoke too soon. I actually got another negative as the day was ending. So a total of 2 negatives on 12/26. The second one (the most recent neg) I'm not sure if it's removable. The buyer originally messaged me "Gee, was hoping this would be here today. Now not sure where it even is, or if you even sent it out yet."

I replied "Sorry about that. Tracking shows as of yesterday your package is still in transit and moving. That's pretty good as many other packages have been sitting in sorting facilities for more than 2 weeks because of the USPS delay. Your package will arrive to you soon. Thanks and my apologies for the inconvenience. Happy holidays."

The buyer then leaves the negative "Will not do business with you again due to your rude response and late delivery."

I fear CS won't remove the negative because of the dumb buyer opinion reason since the buyer says I gave a "rude response". Am I missing something? Granted I didn't praise the buyer, but I was I rude? In the event that this negative isn't removed, I need tips on a great feedback reply. Because honestly I'm drawing a blank, fear I'll unintentional say something rude again, and sadly can't copy/paste my whole message response in that comment field. Thanks in advance.

Honestly I think its all these new buyers who expect there **bleep** to be kiss up down and sideways. I try to kill people with kindness but these people lately...Its like they never had a delay in there life or dealt with anything that was even slightly an inconvenience. Got 1 Neg yesterday from a buyer who **bleep**ed at me 2 weeks ago. He was offered a full refund all he had to do was send the item back....Nah he wanted the item he didn't like a new one and a refund cause he didn't trust me. Got a lady today opened a claim for a refund...She was told of postal delays, but her mom works at USPS so she is the expert here and has declared my package lost and requesting a refund. Has updated tracking with movement in last 5 days. So waiting for these to all finish playing out. I expect we are not yet done. I was also somehow supposed to know I needed to walk her thru the cancelation process prior to order shipping....some peoples kids....

I had only a couple of packages that were extremely delayed. Of these 2, one made it yesterday after 4 weeks in the mail system.  The other is getting close to delivery. What I did to offset the negative of the delays was to offer a partial refund once they received their item. Of course, the amount of the refund depended on how much they spent on their item. By being proactive in doing this it took some of the heat off of the package delay. I still made a profit, although not as much, and helped make the (new)customers more understanding. Both were grateful and stated they would be returning to my eBay store. Even if the refund is only a few bucks, it can help in making up for the mail delay, which we all know is not a seller problem, and also retain a customer for repeat business in the future. And if you did end up refunding the customer due to a return, this partial refund would be deducted from the final refund.  It also might help in not getting a return. Just throwing this out there for what worked for me in handling my mail delivery issues.

Good idea, @oldwestgold .

@bigdeals.etc ,I got a negative FB day after Christmas.  Wasn't expecting it. Had kept buyer informed of delays.

Buyer purchased on the 22nd and I got a negative today. It’s actually moving along fine which is odd because I have stuff from almost a month ago at a standstill. Of course they are a new buyer. Complete joke.
