I have been a member since 2000. I have almost 1000 positive feedbacks. Although not a power seller I have always been honest and consistent. Now E-Bay has demoted me from "top rated" to "above average". I mainly sell records , CD's etc. I shouldn't be expected to sell multiple items per day and consistently have high dollar sales. I feel E-Bay should lower their selling standards for ratings and take the "little guy" into consideration.

You're singing my song. I was TRS for years but lost that during Spring of 2022... no 100 sales in the rolling 12-months. With that one followed no $1K sales last Fall. I'm still the great little guy I always was. Keep your chin up!

Top Rated Seller status requires 100 transactions per year, which is about 2 per week, not "Multiple items per day."
The purpose of the TRS label is to assure buyers that a seller knows what they're doing; so it's not consistent with lowering their standards and making allowances for the little guy.

If the sales level for "top rated" is not met you just don't get the "perks" associated with TR
"Above standard" is not being "demoted". It is average, and is the level that you are performing at.
How low should they go? eBay should not lower their standards. Everyone can not be "top rated". If they were,.................... everyone would be average. (except the "below standard" crowd )
Meet the criteria. Get the "perks". Don't meet the criteria. Accept being "above standard" (average)
Above standard is not a "penalty" status.

Crikey, I am not a TRS only because I sell enough $3.99 patches and mail them out in an envelope with a stamp with no tracking as they are not eligible for the newer Ebay standard envelope.
