So I shipped a toy and it was delivered to a mailbox service and signed for on the 6th of January. The buyer just messaged today saying they never received. I stopped by my post office and they supplied all the tracking including the delivery and signed part. Doesn’t the road end for me with that paperwork?

The buyer needs to address the issue with their mailbox service... you are not responsible. If the buyer files an item not received claim then make sure to upload the tracking number even though it's already on the transaction.
Send the buyer a polite reply with the tracking number and let them know that the item was signed for on [date, time] and they should speak with a manager at the mailbox store to locate the package.

If the package won't physically fit in the rented box, it's likely that the staff has it stored on a shelf in the back. Given that it was signed for on delivery, it's pretty clear that the package is in there somewhere. Your responsibility for delivery is done.

Be sure to keep a copy of the tracking number. If they file a INR, you will need to upload the tracking number.
