Deleting an item not paid for

A buyer for one of my items is unable to pay due to medical issues. How do I delete his purchase?

Assuming it is the 410 dollar item: auction now claims medical issue - seems like maybe they regret the price they offered - once the time allotted for buyer to pay is over - relist since buyer did not pay. Unless this person has a buying history with you, we would really question the medical issue excuse.

you can cancel the order selecting that the buyer requested as the reason.

There are 2 ways to do it.

If you believe/feel sorry for the buyer...

#1)  Cancel the order. Reason: Buyer asked to cancel.

If you don't believe/feel sorry for the buyer...

#2)  Wait 4 days.  On the 5th day cancel the order. Reason: Buyer did not pay.

The buyer will receive a "strike".

Sellers can block buyers with 2 or more of these strike.

I've got a similar one going.   They won 2 items (a TOTAL of $17) and after getting the "combined shipping" invoice they send a note that due to getting Covid there will be a delay in paying.  How they were able to get on the computer and send the note... but are unable to make the payment is a mystery to me.   I'll give them a week from their note and then cancel if I have to.  Too bad... they got a pretty good deal.
