I am trying to sell a gadget on eBay, and this appeared when i tried to list my item:

"To maintain a safe trading environment, eBay restricts the ability to list items in certain high-risk categories.

You're not allowed to list items in this high-risk category. This restriction is in place because you currently do not have a dedicated account manager service.

If you're a business seller, please enroll in the eBay Greater China Enterprise Platform (https://emp.ebay.com.hk/) to apply for an account manager service. Once you successfully become a seller with a dedicated account manager, you will be allowed to list in high-risk categories.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding."

It doesn't matter if you're a business seller or not.  Don't list it in that category and don't try to list it in other categories that don't apply.  Attempting to do that will end your career as a seller here on ebay.

 You are posting on the USA eBay.com site. Good chance the people here are not going to know anything about what you are asking RE: "eBay Greater China Enterprise Platform". You are going to have much different requirements then we would, so the majority of people reading and responding would not have the information that you are seeking. 

These are user boards, other buyers and sellers not eBay. 

We would have no clue what the "gadget" is or what category you were trying to list it in, so no way we could comment if it was a fit or not, or what categories are available to sellers in China/Hong Kong. 

If the chat boards are available in Hong Kong, I would suggest asking there.

Doesn't help at all. GCEP EMP in China restricts you from all categories

Register as a business seller.  There are no guarantees that a new seller may be able to list what ever it is you are trying to list.  There may be restrictions.
