Dear eBay

I have absolutely HAD IT with this place... I can't close my account yet... but my listings are deleted. I changed my SSN, gave a fake bank account number that they can legitimately gripe about.  But no worries, no listings = no sales = no payouts!!  They wouldn't let me remove the credit card... no worries, card canceled.  Changed my email address and I'm good to go.  They have pushed me too far.   A customer canceled a sale, and ebay has the nerve to take (TAKE) .30 cents out of my account for something i had NO control over????  That's really the least of my problems...  I opened a checking account just for ebay and etsy... Etsy had no problem whatsoever verifying my bank account.  ebay on the other hand, couldn't seem to accept yes for an answer.  They'd been distributing payouts, TAKING .30 cents for something i had nothing to do with yet, they felt my account still wasn't verifiable?????  Screw you ebay!!  screw you to the nth degree... I have had enough.  I have been here since 2000, 21 years, and they can't verify my account???  Good Riddance.

Re: Dear eBay

My ears are ringing.  Thanks and good bye.

ETA: Yes, the colour is adorable - they could have put their back into it and used Comic Sans, though.

Re: Dear eBay

No Comic Sans.   That's too childish.  Wing Dings might have been fun.  Try to figure out what he/she are saying.

Re: Dear eBay

so emotional.    but is that not the basis of this board?  Big angry letters, hate them, hate you, never coming back.  eBay should offer this as a pre-written option.

Nice user name.

Re: Dear eBay

yeah, you're right... shoulda gone with purple.  shoulda made the letters bigger... thank goodness i didn't choose comic sans... i mean really.  i'm **bleep**... i'm **bleep** that i've been fighting with this stupid corp over a bank account that they've been successfully depositing and withdrawing funds from!  i've uploaded documentation, all sorts of stuff... they can't seem to figure out i am who i say i am... so as a parting gift, i changed my ssn, (already have received an emails stating i need to verify my identity) changed my bank acct number.  so now, they get to gripe and threaten to stop me from listing for actual legitimate reasons.  i think that's fair.  do i sound all emotional and crazy?  i don't give a **bleep**.  so carry on, The election was stolen... Trump won.  (ADHD too)  🙂

Re: Dear eBay

One of the obligations of a seller is to have a funding source available in the event that a buyer disputes a transaction while the window for such disputes is open.

Fortunately, eBay does not allow a seller to simply walk away before all of his obligations are fulfilled.

Re: Dear eBay

EBay has changed drastically in recent years.

Wishing you good luck in the future

Ebay as being a huge global tech company appears to rely on the belief that it has become too big to fail.

Re: Dear eBay

I can actually see where you are coming from....I have 3 separate ebay selling accounts. 2 accounts are stores and the other is just a regular account.  Each account was converted over to managed payments at different times.  All 3 accounts are linked to the same exact business bank account. The first two accounts transitioned  very smoothly....we followed the steps and no issues. The last account on the other hand turned into an absolute nightmare. It took over 3 weeks to link the last account to the same banking account my other two seller accounts had already been linked to. No exaggeration it took 15-20 calls to customer service reps, 5-10 chat sessions (all which we had emailed to us), and every time we got a different explanation. From we can't figure it out to it will be fixed in 24-48 hours... THREE WEEKS it took to finally get the last ebay account linked to the same account my other two seller accounts were already linked to! During that 3 weeks we also lost ability to list, revise, edit, end any listings. The only thing we could do was print a shipping label with funds from Paypal if something sold. And to top it all off, eBay charged the bank account my monthly store fee from the bank account they couldnt get me linked to during the 3 weeks of hell they put me through....We got put through the ringer and got screwed every which way you could imagine. I was at the brink of closing all 3 accounts and walking away....and all of a sudden, PRESTO the last account finally got linked.
