Dealing with a hostile buyer

I have been an Ebayer for almost 20 years, with almost 1000 positive feedbacks and 100% rating. For the first time I faced a hostile Ebay buyer which he gave me an undeliverable address which I could not send my expensive item(attempted shipping label x10). I even called Ebay agent to create the shipping label for me which he couldn't even do(further proof). The buyer blamed that it was my fault, and demanded a refund. He eventually reponded to me with profanities and infantile remark. I copied and pasted his last message to me: "WHY THE **bleep** ARE YOU STILL WRITING ME! WE ARE NOT FRIENDS, YOU ARE LIKE A TURD THAT WONT FLUSH, YOU JUST KEEP POPPING UP!!!!!! GO FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE!"

I called Ebay, the agent simply blocked him against me.  Wow, crazies are everywhere.

Re: Dealing with a hostile buyer

None of my message to him never had any negative connotations or any profanity.  I emailed multiple times to correct his shipping address, he never did.  Eventually he blamed me that it was my fault that I can't get it done.  And his last message the the entire message I copied and pasted.

Re: Dealing with a hostile buyer

I sent him several messages of my constant attempt to solve it but couldn't, and reminded to update his shipping address, so he gave me an updated shipping address via message, which I cannot update on the print label section. Every time I try it, it goes back to the original undeliverable shipping address. Eventually the buyer never updated his address officially at Ebay, then started blaming me because I am "incompetent" and sent me that last nasty email to me.

Just keep on taking the high road and you'll be fine. Great work.

You know it really stinks when someone talks to us sellers like that that.  Gosh it we be so wonderful to give back what is given sometimes.  We know two wrongs dont make it right but it would be nice though.

A buyer can't update his address after theyve paid and have it show the updated version on your completed transaction.  Imaging the havoc that could cause if they could do that.     I don't get why it wouldn't let you change it when you'd go to print the label though.

Re: Dealing with a hostile buyer

Ahoy!  Just encountered my first "hostile buyer" after 20 years of selling on eBay, just like you!  Your rational comment made my day!

So why am I imagining that they might be allowed to do just that when ebay starts taking over the payments?

You know as well as I do that this place enjoys creating havoc for sellers(and even buyers).
