I had 2 very strong sales days at the beginning of March but since the 5th of the month my sales have been extremely below normal for my selling record. eBay's statistics show:
Sales down 31%
Listing Impressions down 65%
Page Views down 71%
This obviously shows that my listing are not being seen, but I have no idea why. I have about the same amount of listings I have had for several years, new listings most everyday & reduced prices on many items. No bad FB, a couple of returns, but no violations, etc. Basically nothing has changed on my end, but for some reason eBay has lowered my visibility.
I tried Markdown Manager for a couple of categories and had almost NO response, I am TRS & 20 year seller, but something has changed drastically. I mostly sell clothing & I KNOW that is a competitive category but my sales have been pretty consistent for a long time, why the sudden drop-off?
Anyone else experiencing this same kind of thing since the beginning of March? I am searching for answers so that I might be able to make adjustments somehow. With the coming of the GTC listings being forced upon us, I know there is going to be even more drop-off & I am starting to panic! I depend on this income & have no other options, I do a little on Betsy and have tried the River but due to what I sell, that really does not work for me. Too old now for a real job and SS just isn't enough!

Whoever told you to tell them it was IE deserves a paid vacation. Too funny. I no of no one using IE and haven't for years. I even have trouble paying my phone bill with chrome and they always tell me to clear my cookies which is not the answer but it gets them off the hook. I have to go to Firefox. Nice one.

Agree 100% my sales are off $1000 this month and with only 8 days to go it looks like this will be the worst month I have ever had in 6 years here. I went 13 days with ONLY a single Fixed Price listing sale until yesterday when I got 3 within 5 minutes last night. Oh, and 4 of my sales this month were closed UPI'S from a buyer who never paid for $80.00 worth of auctions. Then same buyer Filed a bogus Unauthorized Transaction claim through Pay-Pal for an item they purchased with Buy It Now. I did get my money back for that through Pay-Pal and they said they were closing their account because they have a history of filing false claims. and they have 2 different Names on the Pay-Pal account which I pointed out. This was done with a Guest account.

At the start of March I was up 34% over the same period last year, Now I am in the RED Negative 52% in just 3 weeks same period last year. my stats from Feb thru now 31 day period the same DOWN 50%. My IMPRESSIONS are down 40+ percent since the start of March and not a single sale yet using GTC. Thank God my Premium store contract is up at the end of April. March has been historically strong for me in sales over 6 years.

A slight spike . I sold one item last night and two today so I guess since I was selling basically nothing for the past week it's actually better than a slight increase . Tulips

world economy is faltering, personal debt is high, savings is at all time low, perhaps stock market is having residual effects?

I work in a second hand store, antiques and collectables. Use to be super busy, sales were awesome! sales have slumped off to next to nothing. I believe in my heart , were entering into a recession and people are picking and choosing where their dollars go. My sales in jewelry have been steady , making me think perhaps people are looking for safe haven?

YES! I have had a consistent sales record for the past 15 years of selling shoes. This month is down 50% from last year and my listing impressions and views are way down as well. It is dismal. I am considering moving my business to another site.
I am sad that ebay has not provided any support to buyers. They keep adding demands such as free returns and free shipping without offering any support with discounted shipping. Small sellers aren't able to compete when shipping costs on average $10 per item and margins are so small. On a site such as Poshmark, you can take advantage of their bulk shipment rate and ship a 5 lb item for 6.79. I can't even ship a 1 lb item for that rate.
My interactions lately with ebay support have been ugly as well. Buyers always get the advantage, even when ebay is at fault. I feel like my 1.5 million in sales over the years just gets me treated like a slug. Ugh!

I've been actively selling for about as long as you (buying way before then) and it's the is the worst selling month ever for me too.
